About the Role
We’re seeking a Vice President, Program Management & PMO who will oversee the program management department, leading a team of program managers and specialists towards the timely and successful delivery of product development programs. Key responsibilities will include research planning, commercial planning and the ability to navigate development processes, ensuring cross-functional coherence, maintaining alignment with external communications, having a pulse on all program facets and knowing when to escalate issues, including delivering challenging news or navigating ambiguous situations.
The role demands excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to build strong relationships, vision creation, strategic leadership capabilities and a robust executive presence.
The VP, Program Management & PMO will have significant involvement in portfolio management, collaborating with senior executives to align program priorities with Insmed’s overarching strategic and financial plans.
A successful candidate will have a strong background in the biopharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated expertise in managing multifaceted, interdisciplinary programs. The candidate will ideally have experience beyond program leadership, with deep domain knowledge in one or more critical functions — including research development, technical operations, commercial, or portfolio strategy.
This role requires a strategic leader who brings a sophisticated understanding of the key disciplines that drive biopharmaceutical success, and who can leverage that expertise to shape and influence high-stakes decisions across the program management of the company's assets.
