Mission Brief
We build rockets - and the software, data, and AI behind them cannot wait on fragile infrastructure or manual processes. IT Operations provides the secure, reliable, and scalable technology foundation for our AI and Data Transformation. As DevOps Engineer, you will build that foundation across cloud and on-premises environments.
Your mandate is simple: as we expand in-house software development and our use of data and AI, make delivery fast, repeatable, and resilient. Strengthen cloud platforms, automate infrastructure, eliminate bottlenecks, expose system health, and build shared DevOps practices that carry solutions securely from development through production.
Your role in our Space Mission
Infrastructure Automation & Multi-Cloud
Automated Infrastructure Provisioning: Design, deploy, and manage multi-cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible—treating manual configuration as a bug.
Hands-on Virtualization Management: Operate, scale, and optimize hypervisor platforms and internal private cloud compute using VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE.
Container Orchestration & Enterprise Kubernetes
OpenShift & Kubernetes Operations: Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise Red Hat OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes environments for scalable microservices and AI/data workloads.
Container Lifecycle Management: Standardize container packaging, deployment strategies, and runtime security across Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift platforms.
Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Pipeline Ownership: Design, build, and optimize enterprise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD) to enable fast, reliable code integration, testing, and deployment.
- Developer Enablement: Work directly with Software Engineering, Data, and IT teams to remove deployment friction, streamline build environments, and promote shared
- Troubleshooting & Security: Analyze complex system issues, perform rapid root-cause recovery, and embed security best practices across the full application and infrastructure lifecycle.
- What you´ll need to thrive...
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Platform Engineering in a production environment.
- High ownership mindset with a track record of driving automation, simplifying complex architectures, and working effectively under pressure.
- Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Linux environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Debian).
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience architecting and managing production environments in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Virtualization Platforms: Hands-on expertise with VMware (ESXi/vCenter) and Proxmox VE (KVM/LXC).
- Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes clusters, and Docker.
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Deep experience with Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, and shell/system scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- CI/CD & Networking: Proven experience with modern CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI/CD or Argo CD) alongside a practical understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, ingress routing, firewall rules, and core database administration (SQL/NoSQL).
- Nice to have...
- Red Hat: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Cloud & Kubernetes: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), CKA-Dev (CKAD), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / SysOps, or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Join a team where platform engineering is recognized as a product, developer experience is a priority, and automation is at the heart of everything we do.
- We´re looking for engineers who are excited by ownership, motivated by technical excellence, and driven to build scalable platforms that others rely on every day. Don´t worry if your experience doesn´t match every single qualification.
- If you´re excited about the opportunity, we encourage you to apply. We´d love to learn how your skills, ideas, and perspectives could help us continue to evolve and innovate.
