Your impact
At Jacobs, we don’t settle. We’re always looking beyond to raise the bar and deliver excellence. We apply our expertise and knowledge with a forward-thinking mindset, focused on creating innovative solutions that make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. We don’t settle until we’ve given our best and know we’re making a difference.
As our Water and Wastewater team continues to grow, we're looking for an Entry-Level Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer who is passionate about developing solutions that support critical water, wastewater, and water resources infrastructure. Join our team and help deliver projects that improve the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of treatment plants, pump stations, distribution systems, collection systems, and other essential water facilities.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists on all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through startup and commissioning. You'll support the development of instrumentation and control system designs for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities, helping clients optimize treatment processes and maintain regulatory compliance. Responsibilities may include developing and reviewing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), preparing instrument and control valve specifications, designing PLC and SCADA-based control systems, developing control network architectures, preparing control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, and assisting with system integration, testing, and startup activities.
You'll collaborate closely with process, electrical, mechanical, civil, and commissioning teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client goals, budgets, and schedules. As you grow in your role, you'll gain exposure to industry standards, control system technologies, cybersecurity considerations, and emerging digital solutions that are transforming the water industry.
Bring your curiosity, strong problem-solving abilities, commitment to teamwork, and desire to learn, and we’ll provide the mentorship, technical training, and career development opportunities to help you thrive. Together, we’ll create innovative solutions that protect one of our most valuable resources and improve the quality of life for communities around the world.
