Jeppesen ForeFlight|Singapore or Hong Kong
Jeppesen ForeFlight is the industry leader in aviation software and data, serving commercial airlines, military operators, business aviation, and general aviation pilots worldwide.
About the role
Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead our Business Aviation growth across the Asia-Pacific region. Business Aviation is a strategic segment of our business in APAC, and we are concentrating our investment where fleet growth, new operators and modernizing flight departments create the clearest headroom for our integrated flight planning, electronic flight bag, dispatch, trip services, and aeronautical data solutions.
This role is about disciplined, targeted growth; converting a lean team's effort into results; and leading our customers into the next chapter of flight operations: AI-powered agents built on Airflow, Jeppesen ForeFlight’s AI platform, that optimizes workflows for business aviation operators.
This is a senior sales leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable in the flight deck conversation as the boardroom. You will own the regional Business Aviation number and forecast, build and execute the regional plan, lead and develop the APAC Business Aviation account executives, and support the team on our most strategic pursuits to grow new logos, expand existing operators and protect renewals. You will be the voice of the APAC business aviation customer inside Jeppesen ForeFlight and the face of Jeppesen ForeFlight to operators, OEMs and channel partners across the region.
You will also be the regional champion for Airflow and AI-enabled workflows in Business Aviation, making them part of every customer conversation.
The position is based in Singapore or Hong Kong and requires regular travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region (estimated 40–50%).
Why Business Aviation is different
Business Aviation in APAC is a broad and fragmented market: corporate flight departments, charter and management companies, fractional and aircraft-management operators, government and VIP flight units, OEM completion and delivery centers, and the FBO, MRO, and trip-support ecosystem that surrounds them. Deal sizes range from single-aircraft subscriptions to multi-year enterprise agreements. Success requires high pipeline velocity, a consultative approach with Directors of Aviation and Chief Pilots, disciplined renewal management, and the ability to build and leverage a partner and OEM channel to reach operators we cannot reach directly.
Key responsibilities
Own and deliver the annual Business Aviation new bookings targets for the APAC region.
Own the regional forecast: run a disciplined weekly, monthly and quarterly forecast cadence in Salesforce, inspect pipeline quality and coverage, call commit, best case and risk accurately, and explain variance to plan to sales leadership and Finance.
Apply AI-assisted research, account planning, whitespace analysis and forecasting to make a lean team more productive, and coach the team to do the same.
Lead, coach and develop the APAC Business Aviation account executives: set territory plans and activity standards, run pipeline and deal reviews, and hold the team accountable to quota.
Attract, retain and enable a lean team of experienced sales professionals across multiple countries; own hiring, onboarding, enablement and performance management for the region.
Analyze the regional market and installed base to identify whitespace: map operators, fleets and OEM deliveries by country, quantify penetration and expansion potential by account and product, and translate that into a focused go-to-market plan that prioritizes the markets and segments with the best return (e.g., Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, Hong Kong/Taiwan) and allocates a lean team's coverage efficiently across direct sales, inside sales and partners.
Support the team on strategic and complex pursuits: large flight departments, charter/management groups, government and VIP operators, and fleet-wide or multi-year agreements, by shaping deal strategy, engaging executive sponsors, removing internal blockers and coaching AEs through negotiation and close.
Drive the full Business Aviation portfolio: ForeFlight flight planning and EFB, dispatch and operations tools, trip support and international procedures, performance and weight-and-balance, and Jeppesen navigation and aeronautical data; position integrated solutions rather than point products.
Lead the regional adoption of Airflow platform and AI-powered agents: make Airflow part of the standard BA talk track, run demos and proofs of value with operators, qualify and convert Airflow interest into opportunities, and partner with Product and Marketing on APAC use cases, pilots and customer feedback
Represent Jeppesen ForeFlight at regional business aviation events and associations and in customer advisory settings; contribute to regional marketing plans and lead-generation campaigns.
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to inform regional and global Business Aviation strategy; serve as the voice of the APAC business aviation customer to Product, Marketing and Leadership, and collaborate with them to tailor messaging and positioning for the region.
Ensure regional commercial activity complies with Jeppesen ForeFlight pricing, contracting, export-control and ethics policies, including local-language contracting and reseller arrangements where applicable.
Basic qualifications
12 or more years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of exceeding quota in technical or enterprise software sales, including 5 or more years managing both seasoned and new sales professionals.
Direct experience selling into business aviation operators (corporate flight departments, charter/management companies, fractional or aircraft-management operators) or closely adjacent aviation services in the Asia-Pacific region.
Demonstrated ability to run a region end to end: market and whitespace analysis, territory and coverage planning, pipeline generation, forecasting, and coaching multi-stakeholder consultative sales cycles through negotiation and close.
Demonstrated curiosity and fluency with AI; able to credibly explain how AI agents and automation change flight operations workflows and to lead a sales team that uses AI tools day today
Experience building and working through partner, OEM or reseller channels.
Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication with executives and pilots alike.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, Singapore or Hong Kong, with the right to work there; able to travel 40–50% across the Asia-Pacific region.
Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills; strong command of Salesforce or an equivalent CRM and of forecasting methodology, and comfortable analyzing pipeline, installed-base and market data to drive decisions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience leading a distributed sales team across multiple APAC countries and cultures.
- Established network with APAC business aviation operators, OEM regional sales and completion teams, FBOs and industry associations
- Experience selling or introducing AI-enabled or data-driven software to aviation operators, or leading a sales team through a new-product launch
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, Japanese, Korean or other regional languages are an advantage.
- Knowledge of regional regulatory environments, procurement processes and business customs across APAC.
- Pilot certificate, dispatcher license or hands-on flight operations experience; existing familiarity with ForeFlight and Jeppesen products.
- Experience selling flight planning, EFB, trip support, aeronautical data or flight operations software.
- Experience with high-velocity subscription sales models alongside enterprise agreements, including inside-sales collaboration.
- MBA or equivalent commercial training.
Typical Education
Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
