Work Type: Full time Job Summary We are looking for an SDE II – DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our Developer Productivity & Platforms team. In this role, you will work on building, automating, and improving the infrastructure and platforms that support application development and production systems. You will contribute to areas such as API traffic management, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability, and internal developer tooling.

You will work closely with senior engineers, SRE, platform, and developer experience teams to build scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure, multi-cloud environments, API gateways, Kubernetes, and automation frameworks while solving complex production challenges. About the Team The Developer Productivity & Platforms team builds foundational infrastructure and tools that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate services efficiently and reliably.

The team works across areas such as API gateways, traffic routing, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, automation, and developer tooling. As part of the team, you will contribute to building platforms that improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity across the organisation. Key Responsibilities ● Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure and platform components that support API traffic, service routing, and application delivery. ● Work on API Gateway and ingress systems supporting external and internal service communication. ● Contribute to the development of traffic management and routing solutions across cloud and infrastructure environments. ● Build and maintain automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm. ● Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated, and efficient software deployments. ● Work with GitOps and deployment workflows to support safe rollouts and production releases. ● Develop internal tools and automation using Python or Go to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.

• Implement and maintain observability across platform components, including metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting. ● Troubleshoot production issues related to infrastructure, deployments, networking, and traffic routing. ● Work closely with SRE, platform, and application engineering teams to improve system reliability and operational excellence. ● Contribute to improving resiliency, scalability, automation, and performance across the platform. Skills and Attributes for Success ● Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages. ● Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments. ● Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. ● Experience working with Helm and Kubernetes-based deployments. ● Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and deployment automation. ● Familiarity with API Gateways, ingress controllers, or traffic management systems. ● Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, routing, load balancing, rate limiting, and retries. ● Experience with observability tools and concepts, including metrics, logging, tracing, and monitoring. ● Understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. ● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug production issues. Preferred Education & Experience ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. ● 2-4 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, or Software Engineering roles. ● Hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure and production systems. ● Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation. ● Exposure to API Gateways, service networking, CDN, or large-scale traffic management is a plus About Us Perched firmly at the nucleus of spellbinding content and innovative technology, JioStar is a leading global media & entertainment company that is reimagining the way audiences consume entertainment and sports.
