What this job involves

As the Engineering Programs & Performance Lead, you will drive the strategy, governance, execution, and continuous improvement of engineering programs across a complex global portfolio. Reporting to the Global IFM Director with a dotted-line relationship to the Global Engineering Director, this senior leadership role serves as the critical connection point between engineering strategy and operational execution, ensuring standards, governance frameworks, training initiatives, and technical programs translate into measurable business outcomes across the field.

You will lead multiple engineering functions responsible for standards and processes, change and incident governance, and engineering training and capability development while partnering closely with Regional Engineering leadership, account teams, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders. This role requires a leader who can combine operational credibility, strategic program management, analytical rigor, and executive communication to drive accountability across a matrixed organization.

At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — by creating more consistent, scalable, and operationally effective engineering programs that support resilient building operations and long-term portfolio performance. We embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career, and this role will help champion continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership throughout the engineering organization.

What your day-to-day will look like

Lead the development, governance, and execution of strategic engineering initiatives, ensuring programs are aligned with portfolio priorities, operational objectives, and client expectations.

Provide direct leadership and development for the Engineering Standards & Process, Change & Incident Governance, and Engineering Training & Capability teams.

Establish and maintain engineering standards, governance frameworks, operational playbooks, and implementation strategies that support consistent and scalable execution across regions.

Drive integration between engineering strategy, change management, incident governance, corrective action processes, training programs, and operational performance measurement.

Partner closely with Regional Engineering leadership to support regional adoption of engineering initiatives while preserving field ownership and accountability.

Develop performance frameworks, executive reporting, operational analytics, and KPI dashboards to measure program adoption, execution quality, operational outcomes, and emerging risks.

Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring operational issues, fragmented processes, manual workflows, and opportunities to improve systems, governance, and reporting mechanisms.

Support client and executive leadership discussions by translating complex technical initiatives into clear operational risks, business outcomes, corrective actions, and strategic recommendations.

Foster a collaborative culture where engineering teams are empowered to thrive through strong governance, leadership development, operational accountability, and continuous learning.
