Your Responsibilities

As Senior Robotics Test Engineer, for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, Iowa, you will join our team delivering advanced automation and perception solutions to the market. We are looking for someone exceptional to lead efficient and innovative verification of software solutions that use computer vision and machine learning (CVML). In addition, you will:

Combine deep understanding of software solutions with customer needs to ensure solutions meet those needs

Apply agentic AI to accelerate test workflow for the broader organization

Collaborate with teams across other Deere units to maximize coverage and efficiency while minimizing bug escapes to the field.

Coach and mentor new and early career engineers

What Skills You Need

• At least five years experience with testing software and building test infrastructure.
• Strong analytical skills, thrives on breaking down, solving, and conveying complex features/issues to dev and vehicle teams.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational complexity managing competing motivations while delivering results.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, development, testing, or integration of products that were successfully delivered to the market/production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems
• Practical working knowledge of UDP, TCP/IP, MQTT, CAN or other networking communication protocols with the technical ability to dive deep into details if required.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results through self-directed individual contributions and by inspiring others in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to apply agentic AI to solve PVV problems

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience developing embedded software in particular in Linux OS for perception applications
• Experience working with multi-modal virtual design and verification e.g. MiL + SiL, HiL + plant model, etc.
• Development or test experience with Computer Vision / Machine Learning
• Experience developing automated tests in Pytest and DISDATT

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
