What you’ll do Hands-on research - Run mixed-methods research in a B2B2C setting, combining qualitative studies with behavioural data in Mixpanel, that sets the standard for good research and shapes team roadmaps and client conversations - Research the whole chain, from client teams and subject matter experts to their end customers and the developers using our SDKs and APIs, and look for patterns that hold across clients so we build once and reuse - Make sure research has impact: track whether it changed a decision and what result followed, and use that to make the case for research investment Research enablement and operations - Democratise research: coach and mentor colleagues in Product, Design and Engineering to run their own studies with rigour, through workshops, guidance and lightweight methods - Make insight easy to find and trust, through our insights agents, knowledge bases and journey management artefacts, backed by data you can rely on (quality, privacy, bias), so people can find and question evidence themselves - Help run research operations: improve how we recruit participants (frameworks, lead times, consent and data protection), and set clear guardrails so teams run ethical, compliant research - Assess and recommend research tools, deciding when to build and when to buy, trial them, and support procurement; use AI-assisted development such as Claude Code to build working tools where that is the right call What you’ll bring Ideally you’ll have/be - A track record of running research end to end that other teams used in product or roadmap decisions, with strong data literacy: you combine qualitative methods with behavioural data and know what the numbers can and can’t tell us - Experience researching in B2B or B2B2C or enterprise contexts, including technical users such as developers (eg SDKs, APIs or documentation), or a strong appetite to learn how - Experience coaching non-researchers in research fundamentals (interviewing, bias mitigation, ethical handling of user data) so they can self-serve - Experience on a platform or multi-client product, spotting patterns across customers, and familiarity with journey mapping or service design methods - Experience in research operations or enablement, such as participant recruitment, consent and data governance, repositories or tool selection, with judgement on when to build and when to buy - Confidence working with some autonomy across a distributed, international team What will set you apart - You’ve built a tool, repository or pipeline that measurably cut the time from research signal to team-wide insight - You’ve found a way to measure developer experience where there was no playbook (eg time to first successful call, or where developers drop off) - You’ve made the case for research with real numbers, and followed your research after the readout to see what happened Where you'll work We offer flexible working, with an expectation of 3 days a week in the office.
