As a Sourcing Specialist, you will drive sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and new material introduction to support business growth and operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, on-time delivery, and supply continuity.

Our Team

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Material Control, Production, Project Management, Finance, and global stakeholders to support product development, manufacturing operations, and strategic sourcing initiatives within Molex's Optical Connectivity Group (OCG). This position is based in Xindian, New Taipei City, Taiwan (on-site).

What You Will Do

• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), technical capabilities, quality, capacity, and delivery performance.
• Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and new material introduction activities.
• Support New Product Development (NPD), material qualification, and production ramp-up.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages, quality concerns, and delivery challenges.
• Assess sourcing risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Drive cost optimization, productivity improvements, and sourcing efficiency.
• Lead supplier negotiations, project reviews, and business discussions.
• Manage RFQs promptly, coordinating supplier quotations and ensuring timely pricing responses to meet project deadlines.
• Support daily purchasing operations, including purchase order management, delivery follow-up, and supplier coordination.
• Take ownership of sourcing projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable results.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience in supplier qualification, development, or new material introduction.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in written and spoken English, including leading business meetings.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in mechanicals, fiber optics, connectors, cable assemblies, or related manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in supplier performance improvement, cost analysis, or strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems.
• Ability to anticipate challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
