Audit & Assurance Summer Internship Dublin & Global Internship 2027

Dublin, Ireland Hybrid Internship

Description and Requirements

Audit Summer Internship 2027

  • Be you. Become more.
  • At KPMG, we don’t expect you to fit a mould. Bring your perspective, your ambition and your authentic self, and we’ll give you the real experience, coaching and support to help you unlock your talent and grow from day one.
  • Spend your summer working with real clients, building new skills and discovering where a career in Audit could take you.

About the internship

As an Audit Intern, you’ll join a collaborative team working with some of Ireland’s most recognised organisations.

From day one, you’ll contribute to real client work, use technology, data and AI to support audits, and learn how different businesses operate. Audit is about more than numbers. It’s about helping organisations build trust by making sure their financial information is accurate, reliable and meaningful.

What it’s like

A typical week could include

  • working with your team on real client projects
  • analysing financial information using audit technology
  • joining client meetings and learning how businesses operate
  • developing analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • receiving regular coaching and feedback
  • “My day-to-day role in the Audit department included contacting banks, meetings with clients, and testing controls. On my Placement, I worked on large but very different Multi-National Companies nearly every week and found that every company can differ.”

— Past Placement (UL, Business Studies)

What you’ll get

  • Real experience from the start, not just shadowing
  • Coaching and feedback to help you unlock your talent
  • Support from a dedicated Performance Manager and Buddy
  • Practical business, technology and communication skills
  • Work-life balance, including hybrid working, flexible hours and early-finish Fridays in summer
  • Access to our brand-new Dublin HQ for training, events and collaboration
  • Why KPMG?
  • Start somewhere that is recognised for developing early careers.
  • With €19.8 million invested annually in learning and development, and recognition as Ireland’s#1 Graduate Employer for 2025 and 2026 and#1 for Innovation & Technology in Early Careers 2026, we’re serious about helping the next generation grow.
  • More than work
  • Your internship is about more than building your CV. You can get involved in:
  • social events and department activities
  • sports clubs and networking opportunities
  • volunteering and community initiatives
  • wellbeing and inclusion events
  • opportunities to meet interns and graduates from across KPMG
  • Take your experience global
  • Selected Audit interns may have the opportunity to spend four weeks working with KPMG in a major US city, gaining international experience, growing their network and seeing business from a new perspective.

Who we’re looking for

You could be a great fit if you’re

  • A penultimate-year university student from any degree discipline, on track for a minimum 2.1
  • curious, motivated and ready to learn
  • someone who enjoys collaborating with others
  • interested in understanding how businesses work
  • You don’t need to fit one profile. What matters is your potential, your perspective and your willingness to get involved.

Your future can start here

  • Build real experience, grow your confidence and discover whether Audit is right for you. Where available, successful interns could secure an early offer for the KPMG Graduate Programme.
  • Ready to apply?
  • Start your career somewhere that invests in who you are, not just what you do.
  • Be you. Become more with KPMG.
