Key Accountabilities
- Operating and continuously enhancing the Trading Control Framework across our Financial Markets businesses, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Identifying and assessing risk across trading product workflows, settlement processes and internal and external trading platforms, embedding effective controls and reporting.
- Delivering trading supervisory activity, providing effective review and challenge to Front Office colleagues.
- Driving remediation through to sustainable BAU, while strengthening control design, automation and operational resilience.
- Developing and enhancing Trading Control MI, including risk reporting, dashboards, trend analysis and threshold calibration.
- Monitoring and challenging risk triggers, escalating material issues and clearly articulating risk positions, control effectiveness and actionable insights to senior management and through governance forums.
- Advising on the risk implications of new products and initiatives, partnering across Front Office Trading and Sales, Markets Operations, Compliance and Technology.
- Supporting the continued development and alignment of the Trading Control Framework across jurisdictions.
- Helping embed a strong risk culture and effective control practices across CIB CCO and Financial Markets-facing businesses, including supporting training and awareness activity.

- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and associated risks across front-to-back functions.
- Experience identifying control weaknesses, undertaking root cause analysis and driving remediation and continuous improvement.
- Strong data and analytical capability, with experience developing risk reporting and MI, using insights to inform decisions and enhance controls.
- Experience implementing automated and preventative controls.
- The confidence to provide constructive challenge and influence senior stakeholders, while balancing competing priorities and expectations.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards within a Financial Markets environment.
