Founding Engineer (Frontend)

We are now looking for a frontend focused Founding Engineer to join our team. As one of our first hires, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company, our culture, and technology. You will fully own the frontend of Letter AI's web app and help us deliver a world-class user experience driven by the latest advances in generative AI.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Develop high-performance, responsive frontend interface using React and Redux
• Implement engaging and delightful UI experiences using Material UI
• Take full ownership of the frontend code, ensuring its quality, scalability, reliability and maintainability in an AWS environment
• Collaborate closely with the backend team to ensure smooth integration and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Understand customers needs and use that knowledge to improve the user experience

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development
• Proven experience working with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Redux, and Material UI
• Integrating with backend APIs, using techniques like caching to improve performance
• Knowledge of automated UI testing frameworks
• Past experience or strong interest in generative AI
• Highly collaborative mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
