Position Summary

This role combines strong graphic design craft with hands-on project management. It supports Ebbets Field and Lids, and the person is expected to hold each brand’s voice, visual standards, and audience distinctly.

The designer produces assets across email, paid media, organic social, the website, and in-store, and is responsible for those channels reading as one cohesive brand. Equally important, this person owns the traffic of the work: when a campaign goes out, they are the one holding every piece of it together across channels, chasing the inputs they need, and keeping the team accountable to deliverables. That makes them the natural center of the project — hence the project management half of the title.

This is a role for someone highly independent who can operate with minimal direction, in a fast-moving retail environment.

Reports to: Creative Director

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and build assets in Figma across email, paid media, organic social, website, in-store signage, and events.
  • Own a campaign end to end across every channel it touches — concepting, building, and adapting a single campaign into email, paid, social, site, and in-store executions that read as one thing.
  • Craft seasonal campaign assets that connect brand storytelling with trend-relevant design.
  • Interpret briefs and execute against brand guidelines and marketing and merchandising strategy.
  • Adapt national campaigns into local, market-ready assets and promotional messaging.
  • Handle image cropping, resizing, and retouching to the specs of each channel and placement.
  • Review large image libraries and make on-brand image selects for each channel and campaign.
  • Own the campaign calendar across channels. Proactively reach out to each channel owner — email, paid media, social, website, retail — to establish what they need and when, rather than waiting for briefs to come in.
  • Run all design work through ClickUp so the team has one source of truth on requests, deadlines, and status.
  • Hold the team accountable to the inputs required to build graphics — copy, product imagery, offers, approvals — and chase them down so nothing stalls.
  • Manage the team inside Figma: keep files, components, and handoffs organized so anyone can find current work and know what is approved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, merchandising, retail, and HR to bring design assets to life.
  • Absorb ad hoc and fast-turn requests without losing the larger campaign calendar.
  • Anticipate what each channel will need ahead of launches and get in front of it.

Additional Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Use AI imagery tools to generate or extend assets that do not already exist and evaluate output quality.
  • Work within and help extend brand design standards, templates, and component libraries in Figma.
  • Deliver production-ready files for both print and digital.
  • Draft and adapt short-form copy for the assets they build.
  • Translate trend research into visual executions.
  • Apply knowledge of production processes for retail and out-of-home assets.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong graphic design craft with advanced Figma skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Strong project management skills and experience with tools such as ClickUp.
  • Experience with AI image generation and editing tools.
  • 1–3 years of design experience, preferably within a fashion, sports, lifestyle, or retail brand environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing retail, digital, and lifestyle-driven design work.
  • Strong understanding of layout, color, typography, and brand systems.
  • Familiarity with designing for both print and digital environments.
  • Understanding of fan culture, streetwear trends, and the intersection of sports and fashion.
  • Systems thinking with an instinct for cohesion and consistency across multiple channels.
  • Knowledge of print production for a retail environment.
  • Experience working with brand, retail, or experiential marketing teams.
  • Experience with motion graphics or video editing is preferred (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or Canva).
  • Basic knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD design tools is preferred (e.g., SketchUp or Enscape).

  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk throughout the office.
