LMI Technologies Manufacturing

Talent Acquisition Specialist/Sourcer

Burnaby, Canada Hybrid Full-time

LMI is seeking a collaborative, proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist/Sourcer to join our global HR team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our growth by building robust talent pipelines and executing full-cycle recruitment for select operational, corporate, sales and engineering roles. With a strong emphasis on proactive sourcing, candidate research, and engagement, you will partner directly with hiring managers to identify and attract top-tier technical talent across our international markets. The ideal partner thrives in a fast-paced technology environment that embraces teamwork and shared success.

Proactive Sourcing & Talent Identification: Use advanced sourcing techniques (Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, and talent platforms) to identify, engage, and nurture passive candidate pipelines for our current and future open roles.

End-to-End Evaluation & Talent Alignment: Drive full-cycle recruiting from technical discovery intake to close, going beyond resumes to assess both technical competence and "culture add"—evaluating adaptability, shared cultural fit alignment, and team-specific technical skills to ensure long-term retention and high-performing team dynamics.

Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate with hiring managers and technical team leads to understand role requirements, align on candidate profiles, and provide regular updates on pipeline health.

Candidate Experience: Serve as the primary ambassador for LMI, ensuring an engaging, transparent, and responsive experience for all applicants and prospective talent from initial outreach to onboarding.

Pipeline Management & ATS Hygiene: Maintain rigorous data integrity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), tracking candidate progression, outreach analytics, and recruitment stages to ensure clean reporting and compliance.

Recruitment Workflow & Velocity Optimization: Continuously monitor and refine the hiring pipeline to identify stage bottlenecks, reduce time-to-fill, and improve interview turnaround times; partner proactively with hiring managers to streamline feedback loops and keep searches moving efficiently.

Employer Branding & Outreach: Assist with LMI branding campaigns, career fairs, and technical networking events to build LMI’s employer brand across key hiring hubs.

Market Research & Sourcing Insights: Gather basic market feedback, talent availability trends, and compensation observations during candidate engagements to help refine search strategies and share knowledge with the talent acquisition team.

Education and Qualifications

Experience: 3–4 years of recruitment experience with a strong track record in technical sourcing or full-cycle recruitment within an in-house tech environment.

Technical Sourcing Acumen: Proven ability to source passive candidates for various disciplines using creative sourcing channels (including automation and AI) and Boolean queries.

Tools & Systems: Hands-on experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and candidate relationship management tools; familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter is required.

Process Automation and Improvement: Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, while maintaining strict ethical standards, human oversight and data privacy compliance.

Communication: Clear, succinct, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling outreach messages and articulate technical value propositions to prospective hires.

Organization & Tenacity: High attention to detail with effective time-management skills; capable of prioritizing multiple searches simultaneously in an evolving environment.

Education & Assets: A post-secondary degree, diploma in HR, business, or a relevant technical discipline—or equivalent practical experience. Experience sourcing international candidates across different time zones is an asset.

Salary Range: $66,800 - $95,190 CAD + Eligibility for Profit Sharing Program Participation (pending successful completion of probationary period and based on business performance)
