Process Delivery Lead - Engineering

Location: CH - Basel

The actual location of this job is in Basel Tower or Visp in Switzerland.

Reporting to the Value Stream Lead, the Process Delivery Lead acts as the IT business partner to Engineering. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and automation. The roles is also responsible for the delivery, operation, support, and continuous improvement of IT services, applications, and solutions in Engineering.

As the Primary IT business partner the Lonza engineering department, the role is responsible for aligning technology capabilities with business priorities, driving operational excellence, managing demand, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, enhancements, and service improvements.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technology partner for the Engineering organization, aligning business priorities with digital and IT solutions.
• Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Engineering applications and services across the enterprise.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring reliable, high-performing, and user-focused technology services.
• Identify and implement opportunities leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance engineering processes and productivity.
• Develop and execute the Engineering technology roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders and Global Process Owners.
• Manage project portfolios, system enhancements, and application lifecycle activities to deliver business value.
• Foster innovation and collaboration while ensuring compliance with quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT business partnering, service delivery, application management, or digital transformation within a global environment.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging digital technologies.
• Experience managing complex projects, portfolios, and operational services across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and effectively influence senior business and technical leaders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; experience in a regulated environment is considered an advantage.
