Credit Controller

• At Lyreco, we’re about empowering people to create great – and we’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
• This is a great opportunity for someone with credit control experience who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working as part of a busy, supportive team.
• You’ll take responsibility for an assigned customer account base, working with customers and internal teams to resolve queries, collect overdue balances and help minimise bad debt.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and proactively collecting overdue balances.
• Making outbound contact with customers and working towards agreed targets and KPIs.
• Building positive relationships with customers and understanding any issues preventing payment.
• Working with internal teams to help resolve service or account queries quickly and effectively.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of collection activity.
• Working closely with the Sales team to support effective account management.
• Helping to minimise bad debt and improve collection performance.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is confident communicating with customers and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

You’ll ideally have

• Previous credit control experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation skills and the confidence to have effective conversations with customers.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A positive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
• A CICM qualification in Credit Management would be advantageous but is not essential.
