Enterprise Technology Digital R&D Project Manager People Lead

Location: POL-Mazowieckie-Warsaw

The enterprise R&D digital domain forms a critical functional and data foundation as part of the end to end business transformation program across Mars Inc. It plays a pivotal role in delivering best in class digital capabilities across Product Lifecycle Management, Quality & Food Safety, MGS Laboratories and Enterprise Product Innovation and in transitioning from our current state systems, process and data architecture, to the transition state and on to the future state.

Digital R&D today spans a complex architecture of systems, process and data and this role will ensure a smooth and best in class transition to our future QFS/Lab/PPM state, whilst meeting all interim and transitional needs of transformation programs such as D30, Digital First and EOS.

As part of the ET insourcing strategy where long term DT project manger contract roles will move to associate roles, there is a new requirement for a P1 people leader role to manager the insourced roles. This will ensure the right people leadership focus for the PM roles and maintain an appropriate span of control distribution across the team.

Key Responsibility

Line Management & People Leadership

• Line management of 4 new T2 associates scrum leads for enterprise R&D and Labs.
• Responsible for building and maintaining a high performing team of project and scrum leads.
• Responsible for driving project and scrum best practice across the T2 lead roles, enabling future end to end product organizational ambitions for Enterprise Technologies.
• Responsible for all day to day line management responsibilities, including personal development support and guidance.
• Responsible for conformance to PMX methodologies and best practice.
• Functional strategy awareness
• Drive strong understanding of functional pillar roadmaps and investment choices, in order to provide direct and relevant support for team.
• Partner with T3 pillar leads to ensure the right opportunities for your team and that the pillar leads are receiving the right level of expertise and quality in scrum and project leadership.
• Be part of PM LM communities across Mars Inc, to learn more and inspire your team on future shaping of the area.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or relevant business function (e.g. R&D) or equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in leading digital led business change.
• Proven track record of driving talent and people development and high performing teams.
• Experience in end to end product management and how to optimize the scrum / project deliverables.
• Experience and awareness of digital R&D Platform architecture
• Knowledge of digital R&D platform architecture.
• Ability to support team members in multiple complex projects across BAU.
