Mars Pet Nutrition is undertaking a major transformation of its Idea to Market capabilities, combining process simplification, digital transformation and new ways of working to make innovation faster, simpler and more effective. At the heart of this transformation is Core Product Lifecycle Management (cPLM), which will provide the processes, data and digital foundation required to manage products effectively across their lifecycle.
We are looking for a Global Process Owner – Product Lifecycle Management to lead the Pet Nutrition cPLM programme and own the end-to-end PLM process across functions, geographies and business units. The role retains full accountability for the established cPLM mission, programme team and deliverables. Reporting to the Senior Director – R&D Digital Transformation, the GPO will also ensure that cPLM capabilities, processes, data and ways of working are integrated with and actively contribute to the broader Simplify to Grow / Idea to Market transformation, while cPLM remains the role's primary and predominant accountability.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Own and lead the end-to-end Pet Nutrition PLM process and cPLM transformation, translating business strategy and future needs into a clear programme roadmap, priorities and outcomes.
Lead and define the Pet Nutrition PLM global process template, harmonising business processes with system capabilities, Enterprise standards and external best practice.
Own cPLM objectives, key results and the value case, ensuring delivery of agreed business outcomes and measurable benefits.
Build and maintain the integrated cPLM programme plan and lead delivery against agreed scope, milestones, cost, quality and business-readiness outcomes.
Maintain clear oversight of progress, risks, dependencies and decisions, escalating issues with clear recommendations and mitigation proposals.
Represent Pet Nutrition in Enterprise PLM design and governance, working with business and systems integration teams to shape the global template.
Identify gaps between Pet Nutrition requirements, Enterprise design and standard SAP capabilities and secure timely alignment on the appropriate solution.
Partner across R&D, Supply, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance and other functions to ensure PLM processes and data work effectively across the end-to-end Idea to Market landscape.
Manage cPLM interdependencies with adjacent processes, technologies and transformation initiatives.
Ensure cPLM processes, data and digital capabilities are integrated into the broader Simplify to Grow / Idea to Market transformation.
Lead business readiness, change and adoption across regions and business units, ensuring deployment delivers sustainable process adoption rather than simply technology implementation.
Lead, develop and mobilise the cPLM programme team and Subject Matter Experts, setting clear accountabilities, priorities and ways of working and creating an environment of pace, transparency, constructive challenge and ownership.
Mobilise the capability of the cPLM team to support the broader Simplify to Grow agenda where there is clear alignment with cPLM expertise, dependencies and outcomes.
Build productive relationships with senior business, R&D, Digital Technology and programme leaders, securing alignment and timely decisions in a complex global matrix.
Drive continuous improvement of PLM processes and capabilities using SAP S/4HANA, PLM technologies and emerging digital opportunities.
What are we looking for?
10+ years' experience in large-scale technology-enabled business transformation, process transformation or programme leadership, ideally including at least one full-lifecycle ERP transformation in a large global organisation.
Deep understanding of end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management processes, challenges and value drivers, preferably in a CPG / consumer-products environment.
Proven track record of leading complex business-led transformations across strategy, planning, governance, delivery, change and adoption.
Strong experience working across business and technology teams, including Enterprise/global-template design, systems integration and deployment.
Demonstrated people leadership capability, including leading multidisciplinary teams and Subject Matter Experts through complex transformation.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and decision-making skills in a highly matrixed global organisation.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PLM or comparable enterprise PLM platforms is preferred.
Experience within Petcare, Food & Beverage, FMCG or another product-led global organisation is preferred.
