Enterprise R&D M&A Integration Analyst (IMO)

Verden, Germany +6 In person Full-time

Location: USA-Illinois-Chicago

This is a temporary IMO role currently confirmed till end 2027.

The Enterprise R&D M&A Integration Analyst supports the integration of acquired businesses into the Enterprise R&D and Quality digital ecosystem. Working closely with the Enterprise R&D M&A Integration Lead, this role translates business requirements into actionable system and data solutions, conducts process and system analysis, supports data integration activities, and helps ensure successful adoption of Enterprise Quality capabilities.

The role serves as a key liaison between business, technology, and data teams, supporting integration initiatives across acquisitions such as Kellanova and future M&A programs. Key responsibilities include requirements gathering, process analysis, system configuration review, interface and data quality assessment, testing support, and identifying risks that could impact business continuity.

This position is ideal for a hands-on analyst with strong business process, system, and data expertise who enjoys solving complex integration challenges in a fast-paced, global environment.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Quality Management, Food Science, Life Sciences, science related field or equivalent

2+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Quality Systems Specialist within global manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or corporate enterprise environments

Hands-on platform experience with Nexus (Octave Reliance) is highly expected and prioritized

Strong familiarity with enterprise integration concepts, including ERP-agnostic interface designs and middleware/API data flows

Demonstrated experience in data analysis, data quality assessment, and source-to-target mapping using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar data profiling tools

Practical experience supporting large-scale transformation, system integration, or M&A projects within a global, matrixed organization

Experience collaborating with Functional Experts (FEs) and deployment teams through testing, cutover support, and defect resolution

What will be your key responsibilities?

System Exploration, Requirements & Process Analysis (45%)

Process Discovery & Gap Analysis Inputs: Collaborate with subject matter experts in acquired entities (e.g., Kellanova, Accelerator) and Functional Experts (FEs) to analyze current-state ("as-is") workflows and provide concrete analytical inputs into gap assessments against Enterprise Quality standards.

Requirements Definition & Backlog Detailing: Translate broad integration objectives into well-defined functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams for Product Owners and Digital Technologies delivery teams.

Deep-Dive System & Configuration Review: Perform hands-on technical deep dives into Enterprise Quality platforms—with high expectation and emphasis on Nexus (Octave Reliance), ERP-agnostic integration layers, and other prioritized systems for the Kellanova integration—to evaluate existing configurations, customizations, and technical constraints.

Solution Validation & Compliance Alignment: Work with technical delivery teams and architects to ensure proposed configurations and system customizations align with enterprise digital quality standards without introducing unnecessary platform complexity.

Data Quality, Interface Analysis & BAU Continuity (30%)

Assistance to Data Champion & Interface Analysis: Partner closely with the Enterprise R&D M&A Data Champion and data integration leads to assess interface requirements; analyze inbound and outbound data flows across legacy systems, Nexus, and ERP platforms to verify that interface modifications do not disrupt existing Business As Usual (BAU) operations.

BAU Impact Assessment & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify where integration changes or interface updates could impact existing production environments; formulate actionable technical and process mitigation steps.

Overall Data Quality & Readiness: Drive overall data quality across legacy and target systems; support data profiling, identify anomalies or duplications, and assist data owners in defining data quality standards and validation rules required for smooth data integration.

Source-to-Target Data Mapping Support: Assist in building, reviewing, and verifying field-level source-to-target data mappings for critical quality entities (e.g., specifications, non-conformance records, audits, supplier records) to ensure accurate transformation into enterprise schemas.

Deployment Support & Functional Enablement (25%)

Testing Collaboration with Functional Experts: Partner alongside Functional Expert (FE) organizations and acquisition testing teams to ensure robust test scenarios and acceptance criteria are developed; assist FEs with technical defect analysis and issue resolution during testing cycles.

Enablement Support: Support segment M&A teams and FEs in preparing operational readiness collateral by providing accurate functional specifications and system insights (acknowledging that formal end-user training delivery and user manual ownership remain with the acquisition/segment teams).

Integration Tracking & Risk Reporting Support: Assist the T3 Lead by maintaining operational trackers, logging technical dependencies and interface risks, and providing objective status inputs into governance forums.
