Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join the Region Market Development (RMD) team within Marsh People & Investments. The RMD team plays a critical role in supporting sales professionals, client relationship managers, and consultants by driving client engagement and ensuring seamless communication across business lines.

This is a hybrid Co-OP, including working from the New York office approximately 50% of the time.. Based on business needs and performance, the internship may provide an opportunity for strong performers to continue with the team into the summer.

As part of this team, you will gain hands-on experience in growth operations across our practices while contributing to innovative solutions that drive client and business success.

We will count on you to

  • Conduct research on client companies using external sources and internal data.
  • Assist with writing and structuring internal communications, including reports, spreadsheets, presentations, colleague messages, and ad hoc strategic initiatives.
  • Support the sales process by maintaining cross-business-line communication and updating the client relationship management system with new opportunities and activities.
  • Provide analytical support on sales, revenue, and pipeline-related projects.
  • Use CRM and sales tools, such as Microsoft Dynamics, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, MiEdge, and Factiva, to maintain pipeline hygiene and conduct research.
  • Help plan and execute marketing initiatives and client and prospect events, including lead qualification and contact list management.

What you need to have

  • Typically a rising senior, expecting to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028.
  • Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in any major. We are especially interested in candidates with an interest in business strategy, sales support, client engagement, research, analytics, database management, or spreadsheet work.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including approximately two to three days in the New York office each week.

What makes you stand out

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Experience using other customer relationship management systems, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment while managing changing priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with strong business acumen.
  • Experience managing databases, spreadsheets, research, or sales-support activities.
  • Current residence in the New York area and/or attendance at a local college. Because this is a New York-based hybrid role, a local approach to recruiting will be important.

Why join our team

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and make an impact on colleagues, clients, and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
  • Strong performers may have the opportunity to continue with the team into the summer, based on business needs and performance.
