About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

The future of AI depends on how efficiently data moves—within advanced semiconductor packages, between accelerators, and across massive cloud data centers. At Marvell, innovation in custom silicon, switching, and optical connectivity helps customers overcome these challenges and build infrastructure with greater performance, bandwidth, and efficiency.

Join the Platform Engineering Program Management team at the intersection of silicon innovation and system delivery. Our team brings together boards, switch systems, and optical interconnects to turn advanced technologies into integrated platforms for hyperscale cloud and networking customers.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex development programs from early definition through validation and production readiness. You will connect engineering execution with customer priorities, align teams across multiple business units, and drive the decisions that move ambitious designs into customer-ready solutions.

Your work will support the technologies enabling AI infrastructure to scale in through tighter integration within semiconductor packages, scale up through high-bandwidth connections between compute resources, and scale out across interconnected systems and data center networks.

What You Can Expect

At Marvell, you will work alongside specialists in high-speed hardware, switching, optics, firmware, and system validation. This role offers the opportunity to influence platform delivery across organizational boundaries, engage directly with customers and senior leaders, and help solve the performance, power, and integration challenges shaping AI infrastructure. You will:

Own platform programs from concept through production readiness. Establish integrated plans covering requirements, resources, milestones, dependencies, validation, and release criteria across board, switch, and optical development.

Deliver for hyperscale customers. Lead platform development supporting custom cloud data center and networking solutions, translating customer commitments into clear engineering priorities and achievable execution plans.

Unite multidisciplinary teams. Partner with board design, switch architecture, optics, silicon, firmware, software, validation, product management, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Drive technical integration and issue resolution. Coordinate bring-up, debug, and root-cause investigations across hardware, firmware, switching, and optical interfaces; establish clear ownership and drive issues to closure.

Build quality into execution. Align teams on validation strategies, qualification milestones, acceptance criteria, and customer deployment readiness.

Manage the tradeoffs that matter. Balance schedule, scope, quality, cost, and resource needs against the plan of record, helping teams make timely, informed decisions.

Anticipate risks and remove roadblocks. Identify technical, supply, and execution risks early; develop mitigation and contingency plans; and escalate with clear recommendations.

Connect development to manufacturing. Work with supply chain, operations, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to align prototype availability, material readiness, and transition to production.

Lead with clarity. Communicate program health, critical dependencies, decisions, and recovery plans to engineering teams, customers, management, and executive stakeholders.

Strengthen how we deliver. Improve program management practices and execution discipline as platform complexity and customer demand grow.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A master’s degree or PhD is a plus.

Industry experience: Substantial relevant experience in semiconductors, networking, or systems/platform development; preferably 15+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 10+ years with a master’s degree, or 8+ years with a PhD.

Program leadership: At least 5 years of technical project or program management experience in the semiconductor or systems/platform industry.

Platform expertise: Demonstrated development experience in one or more of the following: high-speed board design, switch systems, or optics/optical interconnects, with the ability to manage dependencies across the integrated platform.

Technical fluency: Working knowledge of high-speed PCB design and layout, signal integrity considerations, switch architectures, optical module integration, and hardware/firmware validation.

Customer-facing execution: A track record of managing multiple concurrent development efforts and delivering complex, integrated products against customer requirements.

Cross-functional influence: Proven ability to align teams across engineering, product, operations, and external partners, including when priorities compete and reporting lines differ.

Executive communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex technical issues into clear decisions, actions, and business implications.

Execution discipline: Strong planning, organization, risk analysis, and problem-solving skills, supported by sound judgment under pressure.

Strategic perspective: The ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term platform objectives and customer commitments.
