Technical Trainer I

Job Summary

Primary responsibility for instructor-led and virtual instructor-led delivery and maintenance of Digital/technical training programs for new hire staff. Work closely with the department to identify training needs, develop training materials, and deliver training to healthcare employees at all levels.

Essential Functions

• -Delivers instruction in the use of software and other technologies.
• -Prepares lesson plans, including methods, materials, and documentation to be presented in class.
• -Assesses the users’ training needs and proposes solutions for a diverse training population.
• -Design and administer user proficiency assessments.
• -Provide coaching to individual users as assigned.
• -Maintain knowledge and proficiency through relevant educational forums.
• -Participate in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs.
• -Provide input into the development of training curriculum.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Adult & Continuing Education or Computer Science preferred. Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of experience in adult education and/or curriculum design required
• Demonstrated ability to learn new application software and systems.
• Strong organization, planning, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
