Design System Business Analyst supports the management and evolution of the omnichannel design system that underpins how customer-facing content is created, assembled, and delivered across all brands and geographies. Working closely with the Design System Product Manager, this role translates business, brand, and market needs into clear requirements, user stories, and documentation for the system's component library, design tokens, usage standards, and governance model, so that every brand and market works from one consistent, accessible, and modular foundation.
The role sits within the content supply chain space and works hands-on across the design and content tooling landscape, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Supernova, and emerging AI capabilities.
This role partners with product, brand, creative, agency, technology, and market teams to gather and analyze requirements, maintain the standards and rules that govern content development at scale, and support adoption of the design system across the organization. The role requires strong analytical and collaboration skills in a matrixed environment, with accountability for backlog and requirements quality, contribution intake and governance operations, release documentation, and reporting on reuse, consistency, and adoption across brands and markets.
This role will report into the Director, Content Creation & Storage. It is an individual contributor role without direct reports, working closely with designers, engineers, and agency partners in a matrixed environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Design System Requirements and Roadmap Support
- Support the Design System Product Manager in shaping the design system vision, roadmap, and release plan by gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing needs from brands and geographies
- Translate brand identity, accessibility requirements, and channel needs into well-defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for components, patterns, and tokens
- Maintain the integration documentation between Figma, Supernova, and downstream developer environments, helping ensure design tokens remain a reliable source of truth for both engineers and AI code-generation workflows
- Manage the design system backlog and support versioning, deprecation, and contribution processes, including release notes and change logs that keep brand and market teams informed
- Design System Delivery and Governance Operations
- Support the upkeep of the component library and token architecture in Figma, checking that libraries are well structured, documented, and ready for design-to-development handoff
- Coordinate day-to-day governance activities, including triaging contribution requests, preparing design review materials, tracking quality checks, and recording approval decisions
- Monitor alignment between design assets and downstream production, identifying gaps and issues that affect how components flow into campaign and content creation across the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI-enabled solutions
- Adoption, Enablement, and Content Standards
- Create and maintain documentation, onboarding guides, and training materials that help brands, markets, and agency partners adopt the design system, and provide first-line support to users
- Document and keep current the standards and rules for content development, including modular content structures, naming, metadata, and usage guidance that make assets reusable across channels
- Gather and analyze feedback from agencies and internal creative teams, and turn it into prioritized improvement requests for the system
- AI-Enabled Content and Innovation
- Document the processes, templates, prompts, and guardrails for creating and reviewing AI-generated content within the design system, and check that they are applied consistently
- Research emerging design and content technologies and prepare analyses of where they could improve the speed, quality, and consistency of content production
- Support pilots with selected brands or markets by defining success measures, collecting data, and reporting results to inform decisions on scaling
- Measurement, Reporting, and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Track and analyze KPIs for the design system, including component reuse, adoption by brand and market, consistency, accessibility conformance, and impact on content cycle time, and maintain the dashboards that report them
- Act as a working-level partner to product, brand, creative, technology, and market teams, clarifying requirements and dependencies so that design priorities stay aligned with the wider content supply chain roadmap
- Prepare status reports and leadership updates that communicate progress, risks, and open decisions to the Design System Product Manager and stakeholders

Hands-on experience contributing to a design system in an enterprise, agency, or in-house brand team, including requirements definition, component and pattern documentation, design token management, versioning, and contribution workflows
Strong working knowledge of Figma, including components, variables and tokens, shared libraries, and design-to-development handoff, together with working familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience using Supernova (or similar design system tooling) alongside engineering environments (such as Storybook and GitHub) to maintain design tokens, keep live documentation current, and trace components from design files to production code
Proven ability to elicit and document requirements from brand, creative, agency, engineering, and market stakeholders, and to translate them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows using agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
Exposure to AI-generated content in a design or content production context, including supporting template and prompt documentation, quality checks, and the guardrails required for regulated use
Working knowledge of standards and rules for content development, including modular content models, reusable asset structures, metadata, naming conventions, and accessibility requirements such as WCAG
Understanding of working in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments, with the ability to apply governance, consistency, and quality checks to design and content standards
