Application Developer

• Midwest Fastener Corp. is seeking a Software Developer to join our software development team. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and integrate internal and customer-facing applications that support our business operations.
• We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions, and taking projects from concept through deployment.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop business applications using modern architectural patterns
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
• Integrate applications with Microsoft Business Central and other enterprise/third-party systems
• Design and optimize relational databases and queries
• Contribute to front-end development using modern UI frameworks
• Troubleshoot and improve existing applications
• Participate in Agile/Kanban development workflows
• Work collaboratively with our development team and internal business groups

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, C++, or similar
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or MySQL

Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs

• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Flutter, or Angular
• Understanding of modern application architecture and the software development life cycle
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to independently take features from design through deployment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Nice to Have
• .NET/C# development experience
• Microsoft Business Central or other ERP integration experience
• CI/CD and automated testing experience
• GitHub or GitLab experience
• Azure or AWS experience
• Knowledge of SOLID principles
• Experience using AI tools in software development or incorporating AI into business applications
