Job Purpose

The (senior) Vice President, Regional Solutions and Implementation Manager is the senior technical and delivery bridge between Sales, Product, client Treasury and Technology teams, and MUFG implementation stakeholders. The role shapes viable regional connectivity solutions before commitment and then provides accountable leadership through design, testing, go-live and production adoption.

The position is designed for complex APAC cash-management and host-to-host mandates where clients require deeper advisory support across ERP/TMS configuration, payment and reporting formats, secure connectivity and multi-country delivery. It combines pre-mandate solution consulting, hands-on integration expertise and disciplined programme leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Mandate Technical Solutioning

  • Partner with Sales and Product on complex regional opportunities, RFPs, client workshops and technical due diligence.
  • Assess implementation complexity, client readiness, country coverage, ERP/TMS dependencies, connectivity options, file formats, security requirements and operational constraints.
  • Translate client objectives into an executable solution blueprint, including assumptions, scope boundaries, dependencies, risks, resourcing needs and indicative delivery approach.
  • Develop implementation-led solutions for third-party partnerships, aligning partner capabilities, integration requirements, controls, commercial dependencies and operational responsibilities into an end-to-end client solution.
  • Identify non-viable or unsupported commitments and recommend practical alternatives that balance client outcomes, product capability, control standards and implementation effort.
  • Provide solution sign-off or documented implementation conditions for complex mandates before external commitment, in line with the bank's approval framework.
  • Client Integration and Solution Design
  • Design H2H solutions across SFTP/HTTPS, SWIFTNet FileAct/FIN and API channels, including authentication, encryption, certificates, routing and acknowledgements.
  • Advise client Treasury and Technology teams on ERP/TMS bank connectivity, including SAP, Oracle, Kyriba, FIS, ION and comparable platforms.
  • Define payment, status and reporting flows, functional specifications, interface requirements and reconciliation controls.
  • Design and coordinate complex account structures, including multi-entity, multi-country, multi-currency and hierarchical arrangements, aligning liquidity, payments, reporting, documentation, operations and implementation requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis between client source file formats and bank target schemas, producing detailed mapping specifications and field-by-field transformation rules
  • Validate translated payment files against bank schema definitions, perform end-to-end UAT with client teams, and certify files for production use

Complex Regional Implementation Delivery

Lead MUFG Unity solutioning and other complex multi-country implementations, translating regional propositions and confirmed requirements into executable country-level onboarding plans covering configuration, dependencies, testing, UAT, migration, cutover and post-go-live stabilization

Structured Project Management methodology owning scope, project plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID management, decision logs, governance and communications to client and all stakeholders

Coordinate Product, Testers, Operations, Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Client Service and country implementation teams.

Resolve cross-country design, connectivity and file-processing issues and complete structured handover to production support

Regional Standards and Capability Building

Act as the regional subject matter expert for corporate-to-bank connectivity, ERP/TMS integration and payment-file implementation.

Establish reusable design principles, mappings, templates, checklists and implementation playbooks.

Coach implementation managers in technical discovery, solution design, mapping analysis and client advisory skills.

Conduct post-implementation reviews, documenting lessons learnt, root-cause analysis and client feedback to improve regional practices and product capability.

Risk, Control and Stakeholder Management

Ensure solution decisions, bespoke transformations and exceptions have appropriate approval, evidence, ownership and support arrangements.

Operate within information-security, change-governance, conduct and regulatory requirements, escalating material risks promptly.

Build alignment across client and internal stakeholders and drive decisions to closure across organisational and country boundaries.

Maintain current knowledge of ISO 20022, API-enabled banking, cybersecurity expectations and APAC market practices.
