What You'll Do

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own a defined area spanning network discovery and asset monitoring, including its roadmap and delivery. Network discovery is about finding and mapping the devices and assets in a customer's environment. Asset monitoring covers monitoring for security, device health, and device observability. The two connect closely, since you can only monitor what you can see, but each is an area in its own right with its own problems, users, and roadmap. You'll work with the guidance of a Principal PM or product leadership on strategy, and you'll be trusted to run day-to-day execution on your own.

N-able PMs are full-stack PMs. You'll partner closely with engineering on what gets built and why, but the job doesn't stop at the backlog. You're expected to understand how MSPs operate, how customer environments are built and monitored, the competitive landscape, and where the technology is heading, and to bring that into decisions others can act on. You'll regularly be in front of partners and customers.

Product areas at N-able are flexible. As priorities and the market evolve, the areas our PMs own can change, and your focus may shift or broaden over time. We're looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity to grow.

Own the roadmap and delivery for your area across network discovery and asset monitoring, contributing to its strategy and covering the lifecycle from discovery to launch.

Translate MSP problems around device discovery, network visibility, security monitoring of assets, device health, observability, alerting, and noise reduction into clear product requirements, epics, and user stories, and explain the tradeoffs behind them.

Make sure what gets discovered feeds what gets monitored, so that discovery and monitoring work as a coherent experience for the technician while each keeps its own roadmap.

Partner day to day with engineering and architecture to deliver capabilities that measurably improve discovery coverage, monitoring coverage and accuracy, time to detect device issues, time to onboard, and technician efficiency.

Run continuous discovery with MSP partners, internal IT teams, and prospects, separating what people ask for from what they actually need.

Track the competitive landscape (RMM, network discovery and monitoring, asset monitoring, observability, ITOM) for your area and feed it into positioning and roadmap decisions.

Build reliability, scalability, security, performance, and ease of use into product design, particularly for monitoring at scale across many customer environments.

Define and track success metrics for your area, such as adoption, retention, and monitoring coverage, and act when they move the wrong way.

Work with product marketing, sales, and support on launches, enablement, webinars, and analyst or customer briefings.

Take on new or changing product areas as priorities shift, bringing your learning and good practice with you.

Support and informally mentor newer product managers, sharing good practice with the team.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years in product management, including at least 2 years on SaaS products in IT management, network management, monitoring, or related infrastructure domains.
• Technical background in IT infrastructure, endpoint, and network management technologies, and a strong understanding of how MSPs manage IT for their customers.
• Self-motivation and comfort with ambiguity and change. You can take a loosely defined problem, make decisions, communicate them, and follow through with moderate supervision, and you adapt well when your area of focus shifts.
• Strong product sense: good instincts for what to build, what to cut, and what "good" looks like for a technician managing many customer environments under time pressure.
• A track record of shipping SaaS products in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear, professional communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.

Big Pluses

• Hands-on experience with network discovery, network or asset monitoring, RMM, observability, or ITOM tools, as a product manager, practitioner, or administrator.
• Working knowledge of discovery and monitoring technologies (e.g., SNMP, WMI, flow data, topology mapping, asset inventory, agent-based and agentless monitoring, telemetry).
• Understanding of security monitoring of assets, such as configuration and patch posture, vulnerability exposure, or endpoint security signals.
• Direct experience managing and monitoring production infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Security+) or a background in IT operations, network engineering, or security.
• Experience building AI-powered product capabilities, such as anomaly detection or intelligent alerting.
