About the role

We're looking for senior backend engineers to join the engineering team of a US-based B2B e-commerce client. You'll build and scale backend services for a high-traffic commerce platform and work closely with the client's US-based engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Go
• Build event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka
• Design data models and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL
• Deploy and run services on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance and monitoring
• Work with front-end, product and QA teams on integrations and API contracts
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and production support
• Write clean, tested and well-documented code
• Must-have skills
• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) in production systems
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
• Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query optimization and transactions
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda or similar)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices
• Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems and performance tuning
• Good to have
• E-commerce or B2B commerce platform experience
• Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar
• Monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry or Datadog

Experience working directly with US clients

Working hours

Must overlap with US Eastern Time until about 2 PM ET (roughly 6:30 PM – 12:30 AM IST)

Flexibility for releases or production issues when needed.

The salary range listed reflects our standard market pay structure. Final compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s unique qualifications, skills required for the position, professional experience, education, and business needs, at the time of hire.
