Multimedia Sales Account Executive

• Location: IL, Rockford
• FOX 39 and WTVO are expanding our sales teams in Rockford, Ill. Come join the team with the fastest-growing news, more original content, and number one weather team in the region.
• This position isn’t for everybody. To be successful, you must fully embrace our consultative approach that uses a multi-media strategy to help our clients grow their business.
• Implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
• Establish credible relationships with local business community.
• Make sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
• Maintain assigned accounts and develop new accounts.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients.
• Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
• Provide clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
• Develop advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
• Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Minimum one year’s experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers
• Ability to CLOSE
• Demonstrates personal integrity to differentiate from the competition.
• Know that that word “no” is an opportunity!
• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms
• Make decisions without supervision
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Benefits

• Pay Range for this position is: $40,000 - $100,000
