Program Manager 2 - Reverse Supply Chain - DC Operations

Dubuque, IA +2 In person Full-time

Location: Ontario, CA

Whether you’re in sales or our Seattle headquarters, we’re all obsessed with serving our customers and oh, of course, fashion. A career at Nordstrom is fun, fast-paced and challenging. Be a part of something we think is pretty awesome.

Nordstrom is hiring a Reverse Supply Chain (RSC) Program Manager for the Distribution Center (DC) network. In this role you act as the hands-on operational partner to DC leaders for everything that happens to returned and reverse-flow inventory inside a DC: store returns, returns to vendor (RTV) from stores, claims, condition and disposition decisions, and the labor and cycle times that make them work. You are accountable for DC reverse performance across the network, including cycle times, on-time returns processing, condition accuracy, and dollar recovery.

You work in the field with DC teams to surface pain points early, drive consistency from site to site, and bring the learnings back to the Reverse Supply Chain team so the strategic roadmap is built on what is really happening on the floor. Because DC leaders do not report to you, you lead through influence, data, and trust, working across Supply Chain Operations, DC Operations, QO, Field IE’s, Stores, Supply Chain Technology, Merchandising, and Finance.

This role is field-based at one of three DC locations: DC 299 (Dubuque, IA), DC 399 (Ontario, CA), or DC 699 (Upper Marlboro, MD).

A day in the life…

Own reverse operations support for the DC network: store returns, RTV for stores, DC claims, and reverse flows inside each DC

Drive DC performance against reverse KPIs, including cycle times, on-time returns processing, condition accuracy, brand-new conditioning rate, and dollar recovery, and report results to RSC leadership on a regular cadence

Spend time on site with DC teams to find gaps and turn what you see into specific, prioritized fixes with named owners, and run the operating rhythm with DC operations leaders

Lead DC readiness, testing, training, and hypercare for new systems and process rollouts, and plan and lead change management when upstream changes land in the DCs

Document and maintain DC returns and RTV process flows, standard work, and training material so sites run the same way

Manage and escalate cross-functional issues that affect DC returns, and track them to closure

Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of Reverse Operations, and partner with the FC Program Manager and Senior Program Managers so DC input shapes the strategic roadmap
