About Nuage Designs

For over two decades, Nuage Designs has set the standard for couture linens and luxury event rentals — trusted by the world’s top event planners, Fortune 500 companies, and luxury hotels to make moments extraordinary.

Founded in Miami’s Wynwood district in 2004, we’ve grown into a team of over 140 across Miami, New York, and Chicago — and we’re just getting started. Now entering our most ambitious chapter yet, we’re doubling down on people who care deeply about quality, design, and the art of the unforgettable.

That growth is guided by how we work, not just what we make. We care deeply about our people, our partners, and our craft, and we elevate every experience by going beyond expectations at every touchpoint. We own the outcome, leading with integrity and holding ourselves accountable for the results we deliver — our products may be rented, but the results we deliver are ours. We win as one, building trusted partnerships and shared success through open collaboration, and we grow forward by staying curious, creative, and always learning.

We’re looking for exceptional people who are energized by growth, inspired by craft, and ready to help shape a company at an inflection point. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

The People & Culture Manager drives how Nuage hires across Miami and Chicago and welcomes its Miami team. This role owns recruiting for every line-level position in Miami & Chicago (warehouse, laundry, sewing, tabletop, furniture, fulfillment, drivers and driver helpers) and owns the onboarding and orientation experience in Miami that turns a new hire into a confident, productive team member in their first 90 days.

Nuage is moving to a model where year-round work is covered by Nuage employees and temporary staff are used only for seasonal peaks. That means a steady pipeline of new hires and temp-to-hire conversions, and this role will lead it. On the days the Director of People & Culture works remotely, this role is the on-site point of contact for all HR needs, so the Miami headquarters has full People & Culture coverage every day of the week.

Schedule: hybrid. In office Monday (new hire onboarding and orientation), Wednesday and Friday; remote Tuesday and Thursday. The schedule may flex for hiring events, peak season and business needs.

Build and maintain a steady candidate pipeline through job boards, social media, referrals, community and workforce partners, schools and on-site hiring events.

Partner with operations managers on staffing plans and seasonal forecasts so open positions are filled before peak periods, not during them.

Lead temp-to-hire conversions for Miami: work with managers to identify strong temporary workers, convert them to Nuage employees.

Coordinate pre-employment steps, including background checks and, for driver roles, DOT drug testing, motor vehicle records and driver qualification files.

Hand off Chicago hires to the Chicago People & Culture Manager for onboarding, with complete candidate files and pre-employment steps finished.

Track and report recruiting metrics such as open positions, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, source of hire and 90-day retention.

Keep the hiring process consistent, fair and compliant, including structured interviews, documented selection decisions and equal employment opportunity practices.

Tend to any in person candidates and temps-to hire that need assistance completing on-line application.
