Security Operations Engineer/Incident Responder

At Nutanix, you will have the opportunity to join our Security Operations team, a group dedicated to safeguarding our systems and data against cyber threats. The Security Operations team, with members spread across the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions, operates under a 24/7 follow-the-sun model to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of Nutanix's digital assets. This global presence fosters a diverse and collaborative team culture where members support each other across different time zones to maintain a vigilant defense posture against cyber threats.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Security Operations and work remotely. At Nutanix, we believe in providing our employees with the flexibility to work from anywhere that suits them best. As such, this position requires remote work, and there is no mandate for the new hire to be present in the office on any specific days.

For this role, a 10% travel requirement is to be expected. Travel incudes, but is not limited to, stakeholder engagements, operations meetings, organizational meetings, planning conferences, among others. Provide expert analysis and advice on security matters

Manage and respond to security incidents

Be in a team of Security Engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Identify and implement operational improvements

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Possess in-depth knowledge of security tools and incident investigation

Interpret threat intelligence and deploy countermeasures

Establish priorities and deliver objectives within a project management framework

Design automated workflows and integrations to streamline security operations

Develop and maintain the Cybersecurity incident response process, including all required supporting materials

4+ years of experience as a Security Analyst or Security Engineer

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Expertise in security incident response

Ability to operate in a 24/7 security operations team

Detailed knowledge of security tools and threat intelligence

Proficiency in relevant security concepts and technologies

Experience in a fast-paced, global security operations environment

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Pay Transparency: The OTE range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between EUR €82,000 and EUR €122,000 per year.

Please note that OTE offered may vary depending on relevant objective factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, visit the clients and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
