Senior Radar Engineer
OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer to support our customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct radar system analyses, investigate customer-reported issues through detailed root‑cause evaluation and resolution, translate complex tactical radar algorithms into simplified real‑time‑capable representations, and prepare documentation for technical presentations to users and project leadership.
Create analytical tools using MATLAB or Python and mentor junior team members to support consistency, interoperability, and best practices across tool development.
Work on-site daily at a government customer location as part of a multi‑contractor team, collaborating frequently with industry partners and government personnel.
Required Skills
- Strong background in radar system design, analysis, and operation
- Experience in reverse engineering
- Proficiency in developing software tools
- Ability to operate Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop systems for radar model verification and validation
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming, preferably in Java
- Ability to read and interpret ADA code
- Experience using Git for version control
- Capability to maintain, evaluate, and improve existing codebases
- Strong technical writing skills for proposals and instructional documentation
- Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree. 9+ years of experience is desired for this role.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
