Working closely with the Group Chief Sustainability Officer, senior management, businesses and subsidiaries, you will help translate this ambition into clear priorities, practical initiatives, stakeholder engagement strategies and measurable outcomes.
You will partner businesses and subsidiaries across markets to advance opportunities, manage risks, strengthen governance and disclosures, shape stakeholder engagement, and represent OCBC in the wider sustainability and financial sector ecosystem.
How you succeed
You combine strategic judgement with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to execution. You build strong partnerships across business, risk and support functions, and translate complex and emerging sustainability topics into clear direction, practical actions and credible narratives for internal and external stakeholders.
What you will be doing
Develop, review and support the implementation of the Group’s sustainability strategy, priorities and commitments, translating them into actionable plans, initiatives and measurable outcomes.
Drive cross-functional initiatives, partnering business units, subsidiaries and support functions to identify, shape and deliver sustainability-related initiatives, including business solutions as well as internal process improvements and capabilities.
Support the development, review, promotion and implementation of sustainability policies, frameworks, standards, practices and reporting in collaboration with business units and relevant control functions.
Monitor sustainability, regulatory, risk, market, industry and competitive developments, translating insights into opportunities, risks and strategic implications for the Board and senior management.
Represent OCBC at industry forums, conferences, roundtables and other engagements, and contribute to thought leadership on sustainable/transition finance and emerging sustainability topics.
Oversee the development of appropriate positioning and messaging on key sustainability topics across markets.
Build and manage relationships with regulators, government bodies, industry associations and ecosystem partners to support OCBC’s sustainability agenda, franchise and market positioning.
What we are looking for

At least 15 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated success in banking, financial services, sustainable finance, sustainability or a related field.
Strong understanding and prior experience of financial institutions and how sustainability considerations apply across the sector would be an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, taxonomies, regulatory and industry developments in Singapore and the region.
A forward-looking and practical problem solver who can identify key issues, simplify complexity and translate insights into actionable recommendations and solutions.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders across businesses, functions, regions and cultures, and plan, prioritise and deliver multiple workstreams concurrently with strong execution discipline and attention to detail.
Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking and communication skills, with experience representing an organisation externally and briefing senior leaders.
