The role

As a Reporting Analyst within the Policyholder Performance & Asset Reporting team, you'll play a key role in delivering investment asset reporting that supports governance, operational decision-making and regulatory requirements across RS&AM. Working with very large and complex datasets, you'll be responsible for producing, validating and enhancing reporting outputs, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining robust controls throughout the reporting process.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the production, analysis and distribution of investment asset data reports, including commentary where required, to agreed deadlines.
  • Develop, maintain and perform appropriate checks and controls to ensure reporting outputs are complete and accurate.
  • Investigate reporting anomalies and data quality issues, working with relevant teams to resolve them and escalating where appropriate.
  • Take ownership of reviewing changes to reporting requirements, proposing solutions and delivering agreed updates.
  • Work with relevant teams to understand changes to data and systems and assess their impact on reporting processes and outputs.
  • Collaborate with other RS&AM teams, including Middle Office and Data Governance, on matters relating to investment asset data reporting.
  • Contribute to programmes and projects, including defining requirements and developing and testing new reports and processes.
  • Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date documentation, including procedure notes, for the reporting processes you run and maintain.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation, to improve reporting efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Proactively develop your knowledge of strategic systems, reporting tools and available datasets.
  • What are we looking for?
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Investments, Pensions, Insurance or Asset Management.
  • Experience working with ESG investment data and metrics.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience analysing and interpreting very large datasets, identifying trends and anomalies, and investigating and resolving data quality issues.
  • Experience querying and analysing data using SQL or similar query languages.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data manipulation and reconciliation techniques.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
  • Experience producing and maintaining regular investment asset reporting within a controlled environment.
  • Experience implementing and performing data quality checks, controls and reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
  • The ability to explain technical data, assumptions, limitations and findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet multiple reporting deadlines within a regulated or highly controlled environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience using PowerPoint, SharePoint and AI tools.
  • We want to hire the whole version of you.
  • We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
  • If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
  • We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so apply early to avoid missing out.
