Student - CMO Intern (Bulldog Enterprises-Entrepreneurship Program)

Bulldog Enterprises* is looking for our next Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) intern! This is an exciting opportunity to get real-life experience leading the marketing strategies for Bulldog Enterprises*. The CMO will also play a critical role in helping each business within Bulldog Enterprises to develop and shape their respective marketing plans. This internship will provide experience in both upstream and downstream marketing, including many opportunities for creativity! *Note: Bulldog Enterprises is the newly-formed organization within Butler Entrepreneurship that oversees student-run, university-owned businesses, such as Chimba Bowls, Blue’s Closet, and Butler Brew.

Commercial Leadership

• Create cohesive brand guidelines for all enterprises and coach enterprise leaders on marketing best practices
• Oversee shared marketing resources across the businesses
• Create marketing SOPs and guidelines
• Build a Bulldog Enterprises Influencer Program
• Work with key Butler University personnel to align best practices and strategic objectives
• Identify and analyze potential marketing opportunities and risks for each enterprise

Strategic & Tactical Marketing Development

• Fulfill vision, mission, and commercial strategy of Bulldog Enterprises
• Establish an overarching Bulldog Enterprises brand and marketing strategy
• Develop marketing initiatives to grow campus and community awareness and engagement with Bulldog Enterprises

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Represent Bulldog Enterprises at all related events and day-to-day with students, faculty, staff, and the community
• Support the enterprise leaders with marketing plans and tactics, including content calendars and brand strategies
• Participate in regular leadership meetings
• Provide an enterprise-wide update with ROI from marketing initiatives and plans for growth

Required Qualifications

• Current student at Butler University
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Prior leadership in a business setting or student organization
• Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Demonstrates a high level of dedication to Bulldog Enterprises

Preferred Qualifications

• Junior/Senior student
• Prior leadership experience within Bulldog Enterprises or the Butler Entrepreneurship program
• Proven ability to lead a large team
• Strong presentation skills
• Previous strategic planning experience
