Senior Consultant - Cloud & Application Engineering-Project Management

Bristlecone’s Cloud Development – Delivery team is seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant to design, implement, and manage complex cloud and application engineering projects. You will partner with clients and internal stakeholders to drive architecture, migration, and operational excellence, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic business goals.

Lead full lifecycle of cloud migration and application engineering projects from planning through production rollout.

Design scalable, secure, cost‑optimized architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams (developers, DevOps, analysts) to meet milestones.

Define and enforce CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing best practices.

Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.

Provide hands‑on technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.

Perform performance tuning, cost analysis, and resource optimization.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.

Produce technical documentation, status reports, and executive briefings.

Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, application development, and project management.

Hands‑on expertise with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services.

Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).

Proven track record leading large‑scale migration or modernization initiatives.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

Solid understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

Ability to travel domestically as required.
