Intern (Finance & Accounting)

• BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a rising Junior majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business within our Finance/Accounting Department at our Headquarters located in Richmond, VA.
• Rotate throughout finance and accounting teams (i.e., Treasury, Corporate Finance, Credit, Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting).
• Day-to-day activities include cash management, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, credit/hedging activities, debt management activities, variance analysis, journal entries, financial analysis, and financial reporting, etc.
• Intern will also be assigned longer term projects to create real value for the finance/accounting departments and company.
• Individuals must have a desire to learn and produce as part of a safety conscious workplace. An independent source of transportation for this summer 2027 internship is needed as there are limited public transportation options in the area.
• Our summer internship program begins June 7 and includes a minimum of 8 weeks working on site. Earlier start dates and/or extended end dates may be available based on your summer schedule and business needs.
• *Successful candidates who are 50 miles or more from the assigned work location may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend.
• Qualified candidates should have high attention to details.
• Candidates should be self-directed.
• Candidates should be skillful in taking initiative, customer services, judgement, and innovation.
• Ability to speak persuasively and develop rapport.
• Ability to write and develop presentations.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Ability to plan and organize work.

Education

• Must be a full-time student attending a 4-year university majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
• Student must be a rising junior prior to summer of 2027.
• Student must have a GPA of 2.5 (3.0 preferred).
