Senior Operational Risk Consultant Europe

Stockholm, Sweden In person Full-time

As senior operational risk consultant for the European Region, you will collaborate as a valued partner for all Regional and Market management, supporting the local markets in facilitating the delivery of a commercial, forward looking and future proof regional risk management framework. You will be expected to understand the Region Europe processes and requirements and to look at operational risk management from an integrated perspective, ensuring alignment between Group strategy and local implementation.

In close alignment with the Global Operational Risk Management Team, the Region Europe RCF team and your regional peers, you will establish the appropriate risk management tactics for implementing the DLL Group Operational Risk Management Framework within Region Europe, providing the DLL Europe markets and management with appropriate Operational Risk policies, tools, training and communication.

You will ensure Region Europe understands its operational risk environment and the current and emerging operational risks inherent therein, quantifying both its appetite and current exposure to those risks and consciously takes mitigating measures commensurate with that appetite. You will oversee and challenge the design and ongoing operational effectiveness of those mitigating measures via Region Europe’s Risk & Control Framework, including the delivery of necessary remediation and/or lessons learned following operational incidents and will ensure Region Europe takes proactive steps to manage emerging regulatory expectations.

Ultimately, you will enable regional management to make timely and well-informed steering decisions based on a clear articulation of Region Europe’s operational risk position.

The objective of your role is not only to provide assurance and countervailing challenge on the robustness of the operational risk management framework, but also to work as a valued partner with the 1st Line teams in a collaborative manner to improve risk culture and drive continuous risk and efficiency enhancements.
