Role Summary
Design, deliver, secure, and support customer network and infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, including documentation, stakeholder coordination, and lifecycle troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, customer standards, site constraints, and security needs.
- Design scalable, resilient, secure network and infrastructure architectures for mission-critical environments.
- Produce network diagrams, IP plans, procedures, as-built documents, and bills of materials.
- Configure and deploy routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, and secure connectivity.
- Deploy and support applications, Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure services across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Execute migrations, cutovers, commissioning, upgrades, performance validation, backup/restore, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot network, server, storage, connectivity, performance, and application-integration issues.
- Coordinate customers, vendors, cybersecurity, application, and project teams; manage risks and dependencies; deliver to quality, cost, and schedule; provide guidance and handover across locations and time zones.
Required Technical Skills
- VMware, Nutanix, or comparable hypervisors; Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud infrastructure and networking.
- TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPsec, SSL/TLS, SMTP, and segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with routers, managed switches, firewalls, load balancers, secure remote connectivity Industrial/plant networks and secure IT/OT connectivity.
- Strong knowledge on Windows and Linux installation, administration, patching, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, organizational units, DNS integration, and identity infrastructure.
- Server sizing, SAN/NAS and storage, backup/restore, and disaster recovery.
- Cybersecurity principles, secure design, access control, hardening, vulnerability remediation, antivirus management, structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical documentation, and clear communication.
