Ichor Holdings Technology/Software

Vice President, Supply Chain, Asia

Singapore, Singapore Hybrid Full-time

The Vice President of Asia Supply Chain is responsible for designing, building, and operating Ichor's Asia supply chain infrastructure to support growth from $1B+ to $3B+ revenue over the next three years. This role carries dual accountability: operational excellence in executing today's Asia Integration business while simultaneously architecting the transformation required to scale supply chain capability, supplier base, and manufacturing footprint across the region.

You own the end-to-end Asia supply chain strategy, including customer relationships, supplier development and capacity scaling, procurement operations, commodity strategy execution, and the critical supply chain workstream for Project Unity (Malaysia Manufacturing Transformation). This is a transformation mandate with operational rigor as the foundation—you cannot sacrifice current business delivery while building the future.

Responsibilities

Project Unity: Supply Chain Transformation Ownership

Own the supply chain workstream for Project Unity (Malaysia manufacturing hub consolidation). This is currently an informal responsibility split between the Asia Procurement and Commodity Directors—you will formalize it and drive it as a strategic priority.

Define the supply chain operating model for the Malaysia hub: supplier relationships (captive vs. third-party), shared services scaling, procurement operating rhythm, and supply chain governance structure.

Coordinate with the Project Unity PMO on supply chain infrastructure requirements and ensure supply chain is not a gating constraint to the overall project timeline.

Partner with manufacturing operations, quality, and engineering on the supply chain implications of manufacturing footprint changes, supplier transitions, and process consolidations. Manage the transition from current supplier relationships to Malaysia-optimized supply base.

Establish clear accountability: decision rights, approval cadence, and escalation paths for Project Unity supply chain decisions. The informal structure is a known risk; your role closes it.

Asia Supplier Base Development & Capacity Scaling

Design and execute the Asia supplier strategy to support growth from $1B to $3B. This is not incremental: it requires geographic expansion, new suppliers in new categories, dual-sourcing on critical commodities, and deliberate de-concentration of China-dependent supply base.

Develop a three-year supplier ramp roadmap that identifies which suppliers must be qualified, when, in which categories, to support revenue growth gates. Include supplier capacity commitments, pricing agreements, and dual-source coverage targets.

Lead supplier development programs focused on capability building, quality maturity, and capacity expansion. This includes PPAP qualifications, process capability improvements, and co-investment in supplier capability if required to secure capacity.

Establish supplier financial health monitoring to ensure critical suppliers remain solvent and capable. Build BCP requirements into contracts and govern supplier transitions proactively rather than reactively.

Asia Customer Supply Chain Strategy & Relationship Management

Own the strategic supply chain relationship with Ichor's Asia-based customers. These customers have global footprints but significant Asia manufacturing and supply chain complexity.

Ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness across all customer-facing supply chain metrics. Lead quarterly business reviews with customer supply chain leadership, translating supply chain performance into business impact.

Manage customer supply chain risk assessments, audit participation, and compliance. Represent Ichor in customer audits; manage audit findings and corrective actions.

Manage customer supply chain issues that require regional or strategic decision-making.

Asia Procurement Operations & Commodity Strategy

Direct Asia procurement operations, including RFQ execution, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and PO management across all categories serving Asia manufacturing.

Establish and govern Asia commodity strategy within the global model. Each commodity team owns its supply base strategy, but Asia strategy must account for regional supplier capabilities, and capacity constraints.

Lead Asia cost reduction initiatives aligned with customer expectations and competitive benchmarking. Drive cost-down through supplier consolidation, process optimization, and make/buy rebalancing.

Ensure procurement data integrity, supplier master data governance, and ERP configuration consistency across all Asia procurement processes. This is a foundation for visibility and decision-making at scale.

Asia Shared Services Scaling & Insourcing

  • Partner with the Director Supply Chain Optimization to build the Malaysia shared services center.
  • Establish the shared services operating model: which transactional work centralizes, what governance applies, SLA commitments, and continuous improvement discipline. Shared services must be governed, not just scaled.
  • Drive automation and process simplification to ensure shared services scaling does not require proportional headcount growth. This is where AI, RPA, and process redesign enable leverage.

Supply Chain Governance, Metrics & Visibility

Establish an Asia supply chain operating rhythm: daily (material escalation, CTB governance), weekly (supplier performance, capacity status), monthly (cost, delivery, quality metrics), and quarterly (strategy review with VP Global Supply Chain).

Own the Asia supply chain scorecard covering delivery, quality, cost, capacity utilization, supplier risk, and Project Unity progress. Ensure metrics are leading indicators that predict problems before they disrupt customer delivery.

Build real-time supply chain visibility: supplier capacity, material availability, lead times, and risk signals. This visibility is the foundation for proactive decision-making at scale.

Report to the SVP Global Supply Chain on Asia supply chain health, progress against transformation roadmap, and escalations requiring global coordination.

Cross-Functional Asia Supply Chain Leadership

Partner with Asia manufacturing operations, quality, and engineering on design-for-supply, cost-target setting, supply chain risk assessments for new products, and ramp readiness planning.

Lead Asia-specific process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives. Examples: procurement process simplification, supplier consolidation, inventory optimization, material flow redesign.

Coordinate with global supply chain teams on alignment: commodity strategies that span regions, supplier relationship management when suppliers serve multiple regions, and cross-regional demand planning.

Represent supply chain in Project Unity governance. Work with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to ensure supply chain is not a blocker to overall project timeline.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement operations, or supply chain leadership experience.
  • 5+ years in a strategic leadership role managing regional or global supply chain operations, preferably in Asia or complex multi-geography environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading major supply chain transformations: footprint changes, supplier base consolidation or expansion, manufacturing transitions, or capability building at scale.
  • Proven success managing complex customer relationships and multi-customer demand coordination.
  • Experience with project management and transformation accountability — you can own a program workstream (Project Unity) while maintaining operational execution.
  • Strong understanding of procurement operations, commodity strategy, supplier development, and supply chain governance. Experience with federated operating models is a plus.
  • Asia experience strongly preferred: living or working in Asia, managing Asian suppliers, or running operations in the region. Knowledge of tariff, geopolitical, and Asia-specific supply chain complexity is valuable.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to define structure where it doesn't exist.
  • Strategic executive presence: comfortable engaging with C-suite customers, internal leadership, and cross-functional partners on strategic topics.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle), supplier management software, and digital transformation to enable scale.
  • Why Join Ichor?
  • Transformation leadership with operational discipline. You are not choosing between running the current business and building the future — you are doing both. Success requires maintaining delivery excellence while driving significant change.
  • Regional strategy in a global framework. You own Asia strategy but operate under a global model. This is about balancing regional autonomy with global consistency.
  • Supplier relationship and capacity management at scale. Building Asia supply base from $1B to $3B is not incremental — it requires strategic supplier development, dual-sourcing discipline, and deliberate geographic diversification.
