Knowledge & Insights Researcher

Role Purpose

To Gather, analyze, and disseminate market insights regarding air navigations systems technology, competitor intelligence, and industry trends to enhance R&D initiatives. Manage a centralized knowledge platform to ensure stakeholders access relevant data. Support innovation by identifyingopportunities,addressinggaps,anddrivingcontinuousimprovementwithinthesetKPIs,agreedbudgets and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Activities

StrategicHorizon Scanning

• Collectandanalysedataonindustrytrends,competitoractivities,andemergingtechnologiestoprovide actionable intelligence.
• Collaborate with R&D project delivery teams (e.g., Research Scientists) to gather insights on specific focusareas or projects.
• Conductcompetitiveanalysistoidentifyopportunities,threats,andpotentialcollaborationsintheR&D landscape, ensuring alignment with SANS’s strategic goals.
• Generate periodicreportssummarizingexternaltrendsandtheirimplicationsforSANS’sinnovationstrategies.

R&DKnowledge Management

• Maintain and store marketinsights,research findings,as per best practices.
• Facilitate the dissemination of insights by creating and curating content that aligns with the needs of projectteams and decision-makers.
• Design and implement processes to capture internal knowledge and integrate it with external market data to create a holistic view.

R&DDecisionMaking Support

• Providestructured and timely information to project leads andsenior management to aid in strategic decisions and prioritization of R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate withcross-functionalteams tointerpretdata andtranslatefindingsintoactionableinnovationplans.
• Host regularbriefings,workshops,or webinars tosharefindings andfacilitatediscussionsontheirimplications for ongoing projects.
• Developpredictivemodelsorscenariostosupportforward-lookingdecision-makingwithintheR&Ddepartment.
• Monitoring and EvaluatingInnovation Culture
• Useresearchfindingstoidentifygaps,inefficiencies,oremergingopportunitieswithintheR&D ecosystem.
• DevelopmetricsandKPIstoevaluatetheimpactofinsightsonR&Dprojectsandprocesses.
• Recommendstrategicadjustmentstoimprove thequality,relevance,andimpactofR&Doutputs basedondata and insights.
• Collaborate with the Innovation Head to track and report on the adoption of an innovation culture across the organization.

Educationand Certifications

Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent is required.

Preferred Certifications : data analysis, knowledge management systems, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
