Financial & Corporate Risks enables SCOR to take financial risks consciously, allocate capital efficiently, maintain access to markets and remain resilient under stress. As Head of Corporate Risk Management, you will safeguard SCOR’s capital, liquidity and financial flexibility by providing independent second-line oversight of corporate finance and balance-sheet decisions. You will lead and develop an interdisciplinary community across Risk, Finance, Treasury and the business, combining clear judgement with constructive challenge. Your work will help SCOR support growth, meet its obligations and strengthen resilience across the Group and its legal entities.
Lead Corporate Risk across Risk, Finance, Treasury, Investments and (Re)insurance, providing independent oversight of corporate finance and balance-sheet decisions.
Act as a trusted second-line partner to Finance and Treasury, constructively challenging planning, cash-flow forecasts, liquidity buffers, contingency plans, reporting, controls and accountabilities.
Own oversight of liquidity, funding and refinancing risk, including access to funding, debt maturity concentrations and capacity to meet obligations under stress.
Oversee capital adequacy and solvency risk, challenging Group and legal-entity capital plans and buffers.
Assess structural and fungibility risk, including trapped resources, intra-group dependencies and restrictions on cash or capital transfers.
Challenge the capital and liquidity implications of M&A, disposals, restructurings and internal or external risk and capital transfers, including retrocession.
Lead stress testing, scenario analysis and resilience assessments; monitor risk appetite, limits and market trends and escalate emerging risks early.
Connect legal-entity CROs and CFOs, aligning Group standards with local accountability and autonomy.
Represent Corporate Risk with senior stakeholders, committees and regulators, and oversee Group and legal-entity financial and capital risk reporting.
Develop practical cash and capital standards, clear risk information flows and strong capabilities within an inclusive culture.
Partner with QRM / Economic Valuation on strategic decisions and incentive-driven behaviours, while economic valuation and financial performance risk remain with that team.
Significant experience in treasury, corporate finance, risk management or a related field, ideally within insurance, reinsurance or another regulated financial institution.
Strong knowledge of liquidity, funding, capital, solvency and corporate-structure risks; familiarity with economic valuation is an advantage.
A practical understanding of how an effective Finance and Treasury organisation plans, reports, controls and makes balance-sheet decisions.
Experience assessing complex legal-entity networks, capital mobility, liquidity under stress and internal or external risk and capital transfers.
Sound judgement and the confidence to provide independent, constructive challenge while building trusted relationships.
Inclusive leadership skills and the ability to connect specialists across organisational boundaries without relying on hierarchy.
Clear, concise communication with senior management, committees, regulators and technical stakeholders.
Curiosity, pragmatism and a collaborative approach to change, capability building and talent development.
We value the breadth and relevance of your experience more than a perfect match to every criterion. If the role interests you, we encourage you to apply.
