Role

As an Implementation & Workflow Specialist, you sit at the critical intersection of pre-sales validation and technical delivery for our Data and Workflow solutions. You will own the end-to-end technical implementation of complex, customizable UI environments, ensuring seamless onboarding from kickoff through go-live. You'll manage relationships from practitioner to C-suite, turning deep product expertise into measurable business impact for both clients and Octus.

In addition to core implementations, this role will project manage large-scale, intricate client projects and partner directly with commercial teams to deliver compelling Proof of Concepts (POCs) for prospective clients.

This is a hybrid position (3 days in office/week), based in our New York office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Complex Implementations & Project Management

  • Execute the end-to-end delivery of highly customizable and complex client implementations for Octus’s Private Platform data products.
  • Project manage large-scale, mission-critical client engagements, coordinating cross-functional technical and commercial streams to ensure successful delivery and adoption of complex platform solutions.
  • Drive project planning, kickoff, technical implementation, progress reporting, and a seamless handover to the ongoing Product Specialist team upon go-live.
  • Monitor and deliver against implementation KPIs across your pipeline, ensuring optimal time-to-value, on-time go-lives, and high-quality handovers.
  • Pre-Sales Support & Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Partner closely with New Business Representatives, Account Managers, and Sales Engineers to scope, configure, and launch trial environments.
  • Design and execute Proof of Concept (POC) engagements that showcase deep product expertise and translate technical capabilities into measurable business impact for prospective clients.
  • Serve as the primary workflow subject matter expert during the pre-sales cycle, guiding prospective C-suite and senior technical stakeholders through complex product capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy

  • Partner with Technology, Data, Compliance, and Product teams to resolve complex client requirements, customize technical solutions, and remove delivery blockers.
  • Document and scale implementation playbooks, standardizing best practices for bespoke onboarding, environment consolidations, and trial setups.
  • Systematically capture client feedback during the trial and implementation phases, translating it into actionable product roadmap input for Product and Commercial leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2+ years in a client-facing role dedicated to technical implementation, complex project management, or sales engineering - ideally within financial technology or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder client projects, specifically involving large-scale system setups, technical integrations, or environment consolidations.
  • A strong track record of delivering technical implementations and custom proof-of-concepts against tight timelines and technical scope.
  • Intellectually curious with genuine interest in credit markets, data products, or financial workflows.
  • Exceptional project management skills and comfort operating in ambiguity within a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or product complexity into clear client value for practitioners up to C-suite sponsors.
  • Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal technical and commercial teams.

WHY THIS ROLE

This is an opportunity to own the critical first steps of the client journey - from pre-sale technical validation through the delivery of highly complex, strategic implementations. You will have a direct impact on our commercial success by shaping how institutional investors first experience and adopt our platform, while working closely with senior commercial, product, and technical leadership to refine our delivery playbooks as the company scales.
