You'll play a key role in supporting the procurement and supply chain activities that help deliver OCU's projects and services across the UK. Based in Stockport, you'll work as part of our Procurement team, helping to source goods, materials, plant and services that support operational efficiency, project delivery and long-term business success. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of procurement activities, working closely with suppliers, operational teams, commercial departments and project stakeholders to ensure resources are sourced effectively, competitively and in line with business requirements.
You'll help support the procurement lifecycle from supplier engagement and tender processes through to contract administration, supplier performance monitoring and spend analysis. As part of the role, you'll assist with supplier research, market analysis, purchase order management and contract documentation, while helping to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements and supplier innovation. You'll gain valuable insight into strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management and sustainable procurement practices, developing an understanding of how procurement contributes to project success and business performance.
Working alongside experienced procurement professionals, you'll contribute to initiatives that strengthen supplier partnerships, mitigate supply chain risks and support the delivery of value for money across the organisation. As your skills and confidence grow, you'll take on increasing responsibility, develop your commercial awareness and become an important contributor to OCU's procurement strategy and operational success.
