About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Designer to join our Commercial team and help shape the look and feel of Officeworks’ Private Brand products.
Reporting to the Trend & Design Manager, you’ll work across a diverse range of categories, bringing together global trends, customer insights and creative thinking to develop commercially compelling products, graphics, patterns and textile designs.
From trend research and initial concepts through to production-ready artwork, you’ll be involved across the full creative process. Working closely with Product Development, Category, Quality & Compliance, sourcing partners and suppliers, you’ll help bring cohesive, customer-led ranges to life while strengthening the visual identity of our Private Brand portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
- Research and translate global design, colour, consumer and lifestyle trends into commercially relevant concepts for our Private Brand ranges.
- Create trend-led graphics, patterns, textile designs and product concepts across categories including stationery, homewares, technology accessories and seasonal ranges.
- Develop creative concepts from initial brief through to production-ready artwork, including mood boards, colour palettes, technical drawings and design specifications.
- Collaborate with Product Developers, Category Managers, sourcing partners and suppliers to bring new ranges and products from concept through to production.
- Review samples, colour submissions and production outputs, resolving design or artwork issues while ensuring quality and creative intent are maintained.
- Champion our Private Brand visual identity, creating cohesive ranges that balance customer appeal, trend relevance, functionality, quality and commercial objectives.
