Account Management

As a Business Director at BBDO, you serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients, leading integrated marketing initiatives that drive business growth and brand success. You bridge client, strategy, and creative teams to develop compelling solutions, champion innovative thinking, and ensure exceptional execution of the work.

Things you’ll do

• Be a strategic business partner for your client - understand the strategic direction and critical challenges facing their business and quickly become a strong partner.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and share your passion for the brand, as well as the business challenges.
• Be accountable for the quality of agency presentation to your clients, including proposal documents, and ensure all work is sold most effectively.
• Have a point of view and never be afraid to share it.
• Collaborate with creatives about the work to ensure comprehension and ownership.
• Work collaboratively with planning to steer and inform the direction of the strategy. Look for further opportunities for the brand and, ultimately, the agency.
• Help lead the brand and clients across multiple integrated touchpoints as they look to continue to push the boundaries of creative deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive trends within the category and recognize.
• Drive thought leadership and strategic deliverables for the brand's future and identify great creative ideas in their infancy.
• Develop strong relationships with both our clients and your counterparts on the Creative and Strategy teams.
• Mentor and coach junior staff.

• You are a strategic thinker with the ability to lead a business.
• You drive for results and the highest quality standards.
• You can keep your composure in high-stress situations.
• You are detail-oriented and can synthesize information from multiple perspectives and sources to make recommendations that align consumer and business needs.
• You have 6+ years of experience in marketing or advertising.
• You have a bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience.

In-Office Policy

At BBDO Chicago, we believe being together in person enhances our ability to collaborate, communicate, and innovate. Currently, BBDO Chicago’s in-office policy requires employees to work in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday.
