Responsibilities
- Migrate on-premises MSBI solutions to Azure data warehouse platforms.
- Design and implement data migration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services.
- Develop comprehensive data migration plans, ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data with regulatory requirements throughout the migration process
- Optimize data warehouse performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in Azure cloud environments.
- Adhere to Azure data migration best practices and methodologies to ensure successful migration outcomes.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data migration, ETL processes, and data integration in Azure environments.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation, including migration plans, data lineage, and technical specifications..
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and cloud computing to continually improve migration processes and strategies.
Must-Have
- 3-4 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or database administration, focusing on Microsoft data platforms (MSBI, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Blob Storage..
- Proficiency in SQL programming and T-SQL scripting for data manipulation, transformation, and querying.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices for migrating on-premises data to Azure cloud environments.
