Overview
The Procurement Change Analyst plays a key role within the Cargo Procurement group, acting as the primary liaison for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) issued from the Oracle Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system. This position ensures the timely review, validation, and implementation of ECOs in alignment with procurement and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Pre-CCB Review: Evaluate proposed business changes ahead of Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to ensure they are clearly understood, properly documented, and challenged when necessary—particularly if implementation conflicts with procurement capabilities or program timelines.
ECO/PECO Implementation Leadership: Lead the execution of ECOs and PECOs, including reconfirmation of changes in D-365.
PO/Item Revision Resolution: Take ownership of resolving purchase order and item revision mismatches to maintain data integrity and operational flow within the procurement team in D-365.
Implementation Sign-Off: Ensure all implementation actions—whether tracked in Agile or via the department’s ECO tracker—are fully validated and completed by the purchasing team before final sign-off.
Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed by documenting the need for change.
Review ECO documentation for completeness and accuracy to support departmental decision-making.
Manage ECO workflows using Agile PLM for approvals or rejections.
Minimize cost and obsolescence by analysing inventory impact and mitigating scrap or financial exposure.
Attend CCB meetings and represent the department, presenting ECOs for approval or rejection based on procurement feasibility.
Determine supplier dispositions affected by ECOs using provided tools and communicate with the relevant buyer group.
Ensure purchase orders reflect the latest revision changes and update system records accordingly.
Track supplier ECO activity through to closure.
Monitor and report departmental ECO action metrics.
Coordinate ECO implementation across all functional departments.
Own the change process, acting as the go-to expert and driving continuous improvement.
Create SOPs and provide training on the ECO process to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
This role demands a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and program teams to drive change effectively.
3–5 years of experience in documentation control or a related field (e.g., Database Administration).
Proficiency in Windows-based software, including MS Office and Outlook.
Experience with ERP systems—preferably Navision or D-365.
Familiarity with EDMS systems, especially Agile PLM.
Preferred: Knowledge of configuration management.
Preferred: Experience using CAD viewers.
Preferred: Experience authoring QMS documentation.
