Position Summary

Buyer/PIanner responsibilities include but are not limited to: , Managing Parker procurement o f materials and services to sum»rt quality, delivery and cost requirements. Requires application o f basic purchasing principles. theories and concepts. , Ensuring timely acquisitions of product or service from known sources of supply. , Flanning, scheduling and monitoring the efficient mm,'emeat of materials through the production cycle to ensure the shipment of products as scheduled to maximize on time delivery. .

Resolvmg issues m the areas of requisition accuracy and completeness, on—time delivery and supplier payment. . Maximize inventory turns while minimizing COSI of freight, cost of quality and lead time.

Responsibilities

.Purchasesparts,equipment, andmaterials bypreparing requestforquotationsandsubmitting purchase orderswithapproved suppliers. Issuespurchaseorders andagreementsthataccuratelyreflectprice,schedule,terms,andconditionsasnegotiatedwithsuppliers.

.Plans,schedulesandmanages productioncapacityloadtoensuremaximumon-timedelivery.

.Responsibleformaintenanceandaccuracy ofopen purchase orders,quotes,workordersandpartmasterdata.Maintainsaccurate leadtimesforassigned commodities.

.Monitorsandevaluatesproduction execution toplanandsupplierperformance. Advisesappropriate personnel ofproduction issues orimpendingsupplierfailureto fulfillcontractual agreementsthatmaydelayproduction ordelivery.

.Resolvesshipmentqualitydiscrepancies bymediating supplier/manufacturingissues.Facilitates theresolution ofissues byarranging andparticipating in conferences between suppliers andcompany personnel.

.Negotiatesandsettlesdamageclaims,rejections,losses,returnofmaterials,over-shipments,cancellationsandengineeringchangeswithsuppliers.

.Providesparts,equipment,andmaterialsinformationbyanswering questions andrequests. Prepares reports bycollecting,analyzing,andsummarizinginformation and trends.

.Maintainsavarietyofschedules,records,andreports pertainingtothetrackingofmaterialsthrough theproductioncycleandavailabilityofproductionresources.

.Assistsinexecutingrequisitesystemtransactionsneededtosupportthereceipt,storageandtransferringofmaterial.

.Responsibleforinventorylevels.Generatestrackingreportsandperformsdataentryasrequired.

.Participatesincontinuousimprovementactivitiesandprovidessuggestionsforcostreductionandefficiencyimprovements.

.Participatesindeveloping alternatesourcesofsupplybyidentifyingandresearching prospectivesuppliers.

.Participatesinsupplier sitevisitsandevaluatesthemastoproduction capability, performance,delivery, andotherkeybusinesscriteria.Maycomplete supplier certification aspart ofatechnical and/or quality team.

.Complieswithfederal,state,andaerospaceindustryregulations; ensures adherencetorequirements andadvises managementonneededactions.Complies with Government/CommercialPracticesManual(GPM/CPM)policiesandprocedures.

.4yearcollegedegreeSupplyChainmanagementorrelevantdiscipline.

.Experienceand/orexposuretosupplychainconceptsandmethodologies,andmanufacturingthroughinternshipsortrainingprograms.

.Possessanalytical andtechnicalskillsrequired tounderstandbusinesspracticesandrecommendproperautomationopportunities.

.Musthaveintermediatecomputerskillsandbeabletounderstandofelectronicprocessing.

.Excellentwritten,verbal,andinterpersonalcommunicationskillsforeffective interfacewithallinternalandexternalcontacts.
