Gurugram, India In person Full-time

About Payoneer

Founded in 2005, Payoneer is the global financial platform that removes friction from doing business across borders, with a mission to connect the world’s underserved businesses to a rising global economy. We’re a community with over 2,500 colleagues all over the world, working to serve customers, and partners in over 190 countries and territories.

By taking the complexity out of the financial workflows–including everything from global payments and compliance to multi-currency and workforce management, to providing working capital and business intelligence–we give businesses the tools they need to work efficiently worldwide and grow with confidence.

About the Role

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function supports Payoneer’s enterprise-wide risk governance, risk reporting, risk event management, issue management, risk assessments, controls and oversight processes.

This role will drive data, analytics, automation and AI-enabled transformation initiatives across the Risk & Resilience department. The role will lead enterprise risk data projects, strengthen risk analytics and reporting capabilities, and design and build practical AI-enabled solutions that improve Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can combine GRC process knowledge, system administration, data analysis, AI-enabled solution building and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will help improve how risk and governance teams operate by simplifying workflows, improving data quality, automating manual processes, enhancing reporting, and identifying where AI or in-house tools can complement existing GRC platforms.

The role is well suited to someone who is analytical, technically curious, comfortable working in a fast-paced fintech environment, and motivated to build practical tools that improve governance, risk management, compliance, audit and decision-making.

What you’ll do

Lead enterprise risk data and analytics projects from problem definition and requirements gathering through data sourcing, analysis, solution design, implementation and adoption.

Support the development and execution of ERM’s data, analytics, automation and AI transformation roadmap, including identifying and prioritising high-value initiatives.

Design and develop risk analytics, dashboards and management reporting across areas such as enterprise risk assessments, risk events, issues, controls, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), audit findings, remediation activities, root causes and emerging risks.

Analyse risk and GRC data to identify trends, risk concentrations, recurring themes, control weaknesses, emerging risks and opportunities for management action.

Design and implement automated processes for data collection, transformation, validation, analysis, reporting and stakeholder follow-up.

Lead the design, prototyping and delivery of AI-enabled GRC solutions across risk assessments, issue management, risk event analysis, control monitoring, KRI management, reporting, knowledge management, classification, summarisation and thematic analysis.

Translate business and risk requirements into clear solution designs, workflows, user journeys, data requirements, functional specifications, prototypes and acceptance criteria.

Build and test practical solutions using data analytics, business intelligence, automation, generative AI and low-code or no-code development capabilities.

Partner with Technology, Data, AI, Security and Privacy teams to determine appropriate technical approaches, data sources, integrations, architecture and implementation models.

Establish appropriate controls for AI and automated solutions, including data sensitivity, privacy, security, access management, validation, reliability, explainability, documentation, auditability, monitoring and human oversight.

Lead data quality reviews and improvement initiatives, including identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate information, outdated records and reporting limitations.

Manage AI pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives, evaluate outcomes, incorporate user feedback, and develop plans for controlled implementation and broader adoption.

Measure the effectiveness of departmental data, automation and AI initiatives through defined success measures, including efficiency gains, data quality improvements, user adoption, reporting accuracy and decision-making value.

Prepare risk insights, dashboards and analytical outputs for senior management, governance forums and other key stakeholders.

Support stakeholder engagement, training, change management and adoption activities for new analytics, automation and AI-enabled capabilities.

Support broader ERM activities and enterprise-wide risk initiatives as needed, including risk assessments, risk monitoring, governance materials, management reporting, capital modelling and strategic projects.

  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards, analytical tools, automated reporting or data-driven solutions using business intelligence, data visualisation, query, automation or similar technologies.
  • Practical experience designing, prototyping or building AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI, workflow automation, intelligent classification, summarisation, thematic analysis or knowledge management capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business and risk problems into structured requirements, data needs, solution designs and practical implementation plans.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain data, technical, AI and risk concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • A hands-on mindset with a willingness to analyse data, build prototypes, test solutions, resolve problems, document outcomes and support implementation.
  • Experience with business intelligence, data analytics, automation, low-code or no-code development, or AI-enabled development tools is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Microsoft Power Platform, Lovable or similar technologies would be advantageous.
